Outfit of the day/ Današnje ruho

Green with a touch of gold and silver...Perhaps I'm trying to mimic Autumn. Perhaps that is what we all do...Trying to keep up with the beauty of nature and the mysterious way it changes every seasons. Perhaps we even envy the nature for its eternal youth....forgetting that we're its part.

This outfit is quite similar to my  first November look (same dress and blouse). Wearing a summer dress in Autumn? Nothing I haven't done before. All it takes is a bit of layering....

Coat/ Kaput: Uzor, Dress/ Haljina: Moda in, Torba/Bag: vintage, Shoes/ cipele: Peko+ DIY

  35. You look stunning and yes, I agree with layering. There's nothing wrong with wearing a summer dress as long as you know how to layer for warmth.

  41. gosh, what a changeable outfit. with your closed blazer, i thought you wearing a skirt. This kind and how you wear your scarf is just stunning!!! this is for me a really perfect kind of an business outfit - the right way to shine on an office job!!!

then i saw a few pics bellow, that is not a skirt, this is a dress - and what a beauty...! Perfect on this are your shoes. i like specially this little heel (not to high) - i know we both love it to wear heels, but sometimes there are other kinds of shoes look better on a outfit. and here you wear the RIGHT ONE!!!

Furthermore, i think there is just one way to find (and wear) the perfect tights: a black opaque pantyhose. i think no other colour looks better on this outfit.

the only thing i´m wondering is your lipstick/gloss: red looks great and breaks out of this green effect your clothings. but i think it´s even a good way, to lay off a darker lipstick colour - to keep your darker colourtone from your clothings.

    What you think?

This is a really wonderful outfit Ivana!!!

    Bye.

    1. interesting suggestion! Yes, I think that a darker lipstick would look great with this outfit. Furthermore, dark lipsticks are perfect for Autumn.

If you remember, I wore this green dress a lot of times on my blog, but this is one of my favourite combinations. I really like how this green dress looks when I wear this silk shirt under it.

    2. yes, i saw you wearing this dress on many posts here. You look always good in this, but i think this is the perfect combo!

February recap / sažetak veljače

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
