futuristic lady/ dama iz budućnosti

For today vintage futuristic look....this illustration reminds me of vintage sf and that sort of things, so I guess there is where inspiration came from. Hope you like it...Once again I've used coffee for colouring in the same way water colours are used. Have a nice day!

Za danas vintage futuristički izgled...ova me ilustracije podsjeća na vintage znanstvenu fantastiku i takve stvari pa mi je valjda to i bilo nadahnuće. Nadam se da vam se sviđa...Još jednom sam koristila kavu za bojenje, na isti način na koji se koriste vodene bojice. Ugodan dan želim!

    I know your love about painting with coffee, you really know how to do it right:) That sketch is so original and special, as always. The of the most exciting thing about it that you used coffee to create it:))) By the way, "kava" is Croatian language, right? In Serbia language is different? I must say I like some Serbian songs, so I'm curious is this the same language or very different one?

      I think in Serbian it is kafa. Serbian and Croatian are similar, most languages in our branch (southern branch) of Slavic languages are alike in many ways.

Podstrana (Croatia/ Hrvatska)

Today another post from Dalmatia (region in Croatia). I had already posted about Podstrana here . It is a settlement and municipaty located near Split (in fact only 8 km from this city). Podstrana has about 9000 residens. It is very popular with the tourists. Podstrana has been populated since the prehistoric days. The first people to settle there were  Ilyrians,  more specifically, an Ilyrian tribe called Pituntini. If you want to see what the appeal is, feel free to browse photographs. When I was there this Sunday, the rainy clouds fought battle with the sun...and this elemental stuggle created those silver shades that Impressionist painters were so crazy about. Recently I wrote a post ( here ) where I explained why I initially hesitated to write about body perception but decided that I need to do it anyway. Yes, I was getting pretty tired of all that 'body' talk. I was getting tired of hearing how everyone finally managed to embrace their body. I was thinking, yes, that's great, but why I have to be hearing about it all the time? Why don't I ever hear stories about people who managed to increase their IQ? Why I don't hear stories about people who learned how to accept some personality traits of theirs? How they learned to embrace and understand people whose personality is different that theirs? Then I realized that I was wrong. I was wrong to ignore this subject. Because there is this burning issue with body perception and we can't just ignore it.
