It's time again for some of my fashion illustrations. As you can see, one of my biggest inspiration lately have been midi and maxi skirts. As colours go, I'm really fascinated with dark green.
Neke od mojih modnih ilustracija (opet). Kao što vidite u zadnje vrijeme me najviše nadahnuju duge suknje i one do ispod koljena. Što se tiče boja, fascinira me tamno zelena.
Oh yes, I told you: you're an artist and your drawings are beautiful!! I love that colours and that style!! <3 With a big kiss, have a great evening dear! :>
Ja sam oduvijek bila ljubiteljica duzih suknjica i onih punoga kruga... nema ni nista zenstvenije :-) Sasila sam si jos davno par komada i to jos u tartan uzorku tako da ih definitivno vadim iz ormara ovu zimu :-) Super ilustracije :-)
All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, we shall once again explore Goranci, a small village that is around 700 meters above sea level. Located on a nearby hill in immediate vicinity of Mostar, and surrounded by mountain ranges, it offers stunning views. I have been a regular visitor for year and I never get tired of it. I absolutely love Goranci and I plan to remain a regular visitor. What is there not to love? We went to Goranci for some weekend cold day hiking. You know how I feel about hiking and cold sunny days. There's nothing better! As long as the sun is shining and you dress warmly, hiking can be extremely enjoyable and comfortable even in the colder weather. It was quite cold that day. Speaking of that, this post was in my drafts for some time now (maybe even two weeks). Today I saw a documentary about this village and its surroundings on National television. Now, the documentary focused mostly on intangible cultural heritage (such as traditional Cath...
Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern novel follows two story lines and uses framed narration. The Island of Missing Trees tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter. This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. I needed to emotionally process the story. The Island of Missing Trees is set in London and Cyprus. The narration isn't chronological . The story jumps back and forth, following ...
With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily. The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily? Today we'll analyze Malena's style and see what we can learn from her. There is much to learn! Having analyzed looks that Monica wore in iconic Malena film, I...
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today we'll do a simple outfit post. What I wore today? Well, I wore three outfits actually (you'll see the other two soon enough). This is what I was wearing this morning while we were driving through Neretva canon on our way back to Mostar. A travelling outfit, if you will. Once again, I shopped my closet for this outfit. I mixed and matched two sets to create this outfit. The red floral blouse is from a vintage floral set (worn here ), the tea green pants are from Ozz brand set (previously worn as a part of a set here here ) and the striped sneakers are from iconic Croatian brand Startas (worn previously here ). It was a very comfortable outfit, perfect for travelling! Not that I put much thought into it. To be perfectly honest, this was the only clean pair of clothes I had after spending six days in a medical and spa hotel (where I accompanied my husband who was sent there by his doctor). I didn't enjoy my stay there much and...
Happy November everyone! Today I'm back with a book review. This time I'm reviewing This Immortal , a novel by Roger Zelanzy that shared Hugo award with Frank Herbert's Dune in 1966. It was clearly a good year for science fiction. I think both novels were equally deserving of the award. Both Roger Zelanzy and Frank Herbert remain acclaimed writers of science fiction with legions of fans, but Dune is definitely the better known known of the two works that won the Hugo award in 1966. I reviewed many of Frank Herbert's novels on my blog ( Godmakers , Dune , Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Hertics of Dune, Chapterhouse: Dune, White Plague ) and the same goes for Roger Zelazny. You can read my review of Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light. I also reviewed his IF AT FAUST YOU DON'T SUCCEED . Some day I really must put together my reviews of his Amber series, for Amber books is perhaps what Roger Zelazny best...
