A RED BLAZER (OUTFIT PROPOSAL) + THE GIVEAWAY WINNER

How to style a coloured blazer for spring? Today I'm sharing with yet another spring outfit proposal.  With April coming to its end, we can say the spring is in full swing. If you ask me, a coloured blazer is a great choice for spring.  This time I styled my red blazer with a blue turtleneck, navy flare pants and statement accessories. I wore an oversize hat completed with statement earrings and a necklace. Sometimes accessories make all the difference. These photographs were taken on planinica hill where the cherry trees still blossom. The cherry trees in our city are already filled with cherries, but since it's colder on the hill, the flowers are still there. Lovely, isn't it?

Thank you all for lovely wishes for my birthday. I spend my birthday cleaning the house, preparing the cakes and so on, and somehow I hurt my back in the process. I suffer from scoliosis (another chronic illness I'm blessed with) so I'm not supposed to carry anything heavy, but I carry heavy things all the time, since like most people I don't have servants to do it for me. I'm still in quite a bit of pain, so I'll be slow with responding to your messages. I have a lot of posts prepared, but I'll probably be a bit slower with posting them too. I can't say when my back will get better, I think I hurt a nerve or something.

Those of you with a really good eye should be able to spot some horses behind me in some of these photographs. I didn't take close ups of horses because I didn't want to disturb them, especially since they had a few calves with them.  I have already taken their photographs on a number of occasions, so if you're interested I can make a separate post about that, but as I said only if you're interested. Yesterday I finished reading The Call of the Wild by Jack London. Such a lovely novel! I recommend it if you're an animal lover. I'm planning a little reading update so expect that in the upcoming posts. I'm not sure will I do an April recap post, it will have to depend on how I'm feeling.

My fashion illustration giveaway is officially closed. The giveaway winner is Marisa from blog Marisa's closet (as you can see here) The winner was selected randomly.  If you want to see more fashion illustration giveaway, let me know and I might host another one next month. Thank you for reading! Have a lovely day.

P.S. I'll be linking up this look with Fancy Friday link up hosted by Nancy and also with Weekly Wear link up hosted by Mica.

  1. What a lovely colourful outfit and the red and blue are so nice together, they really pop with the white cherry blossoms!

I hope your back heals quickly, how frustrating for you!

  2. Fun photos! The bold jewelry adds whimsy to the classic pieces of the outfit. I never read Call of The Wild but will have to add it to my Kindle. How beautiful to see the horses out in the wild. I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a child due to gymnastics but was lucky enough that the curves balanced well and it never became a problem. Back pain is so unpleasant. I hope you heal up quickly.

    1. it is great that the curves balanced back, scoliosis is so complicated, I'm not sure what to advise to people when they ask me about it. I think there are specific exercises that can be helpful. I wore a brace as a child but it seems to have made matters worse.

It is a good novel for dog or animal lovers. I liked it a lot.

  14. Hey dear Ivana, how you doing? Hope you have a magnificent week :)

You know, I've been looking for a red blazer in order to make my wardrobe a little more colorful, I feel like I've been wearing a lot of neutrals (which is good tho for versatility) since I've arrived to Europe. I used to wear more colors a few years ago and stopped.... so a red blazer definitely could be an option, also I feel it is such a powerful color that give such fierce and energy..... it is also the perfect way to get into spring with good vibes :)

Loved the spot you picked for the pictures.... and don't carry too much weight, remember essentials only ;)

Gonna stop at the other posts (so bad I missed the giveaway, are you still using your IG by the way)?

Thanks as usual for your constant support, means a lot for me

  15. Dear Ivana, so sorry you hurt your back. Hopefully it will be better soon - please take care of you!
But I can't believe in your city are already cherries on the trees, you live really in the South! Here in Bavaria we have still many leafless trees ... Your outfit looks amazing, you put the colours fantastically together! And it speaks in your favour you didn't want to disturb the horeses, but they are so wonderful in the back!
Congratulations to Marisa, I hope she is well as I was not able to open her blog.

I have a bright pink blazer that always gives me a little lift of energy whenever I wear it ;) I'm so sorry to hear you hurt your back. I slipped a disc in my back once and it was some of the worst pain ever. Do rest up and take it easy for now. Hot compresses helped me greatly. I hope you'll recover and feel better soon.
