STRIPES: NAVY OUTFIT IDEAS FOR SPRING

WHITE AND BLUE STRIPES- A TIMELESS CLASSIC

Maybe I'm jumping a bit ahead of myself here, but I keep putting together warm spring outfits in my head. I know transitional styling is what I should be thinking right now (and I will get to than in my next posts I promise) yet something makes me think vacation style. Maybe I'm craving another weekend at seaside? The beach trend is definitely something I can see myself wearing.  Speaking of spring trends, I really like the mermaid vibes trend, but there is also something to be said for the classical navy style. Stripes and navy prints are something I like to come back too.

Sometimes a little striped accent (such as a cardigan or a pair of sneakers) can completely change an outfit. Whether navy print is just as accent, or it dominates our outfit, I think in most cases it looks elegant and effortless. A combination of white and blue is always a lovely one. When I think of spring outfits, white or striped tops, blouses and shirts come to mind immediately. I do plan to wear navy inspired outfits quite a bit. I'll probably try to explore the mermaid trend a bit as well. There is a way to do it even while it is still cold, but we'll dig into that some other time. For now, you can have a look at the kind of outfits I can't wait to wear again.

I think one of the advantages of being a blogger is being able to look back to your outfits. It is kind of like having a digital closet. While browsing my digital closet (i.e. my blog archives) I got even more inspiration for spring. The perks of blogging, being able to travel back in time so easily. I definitely do plan to rock the classical striped outfit in blue and white. That's always a timeless choice. I would also love to try out some new colours and shades, maybe turquoise. There are a lot of interesting spring trends that I'm excited about. That's the joy of change of seasons for you and a plus of living in a climate where you can feel it. I genuinely enjoy the change of season. It is fun to see how your surroundings change, without you having to travel for them to do so. Yes, the change of seasons is always a happy event in my book. I reckon it won't be that long before spring arrives here and I'm really looking forward to it.

Today I also have some picks from Cocolooshop for you. I found some cute striped women shirts for sale on this site. The two shirts you can see bellow (a striped one shoulder shirt and a regular striped shirt) would both fit my wardrobe well. I think that a striped blouse or a shirt is always a good investment because it is quite easy to style. The same goes for a striped cardigan. As much as I love crazy patterns and colours, I find that having a few striped items in white, blue and/or red in my closet really makes my life easier.

Another nice and trendy option for spring are bodysuits. If that is what you are looking for, do check out these cheap bodysuits for women.  I think I only have one or two, and both of them quite basic (in black if I remember well). I might look into buying some new ones. Bodysuits look great paired with jeans. They can also be very flattering and are quite easy to style. In addition, bodysuits can be worn in any weather because they are easy to layer. I might wear them even more this spring. Do you wear them? Have you started shopping for spring trends yet? Or do you prefer to shop your closet?

SPRING TRENDS TO KEEP AN OPEN EYE FOR

Some of my favourite Spring trends are: beige, lace and mesh materials (material mixing in general), mermaid vibes and vibrant beach colours (wet suits and all that), oversized hats and statement prints! Let me know what are your favourite ones. Do you plan to wear stripes this spring? What kind of spring outfits do you look forward to the most?

  3. Navy outfits are a great option for spring. I'm actually like you in that I've already planned some of my warm-weather outfits even though there's still snow on the ground.
