Early Autumn : What To Wear? Autumn (Fall) Outfit Ideas

The Autumn has arrived, but if you happen to live in the Mediterranean area, the chances are you're still dressing for transitional weather. Today I'll share some outfit ideas for those tricky Autumn days when the weather is a bit on the unpredictable side. You know when it's still sunny but it's also windy and the weather might turn any second. The solution to this problem is often clever layering, but one needs to pay attention to materials as well. First I'm going to share a folklore inspired outfit with you. I do love folklore items (authentic or inspired) and I'm always trying to incorporate them in my outfits. Autumn is a great time to rock folklore inspired outfits. 

A FOLKLORE INSPIRED OUTFIT 

When it doubt, go with basics. There is something fresh about the combination of white with denim. A white shirt is something we should all have in our closets. Likewise,  a good pair of jeans always goes a long way. My husband is always telling me I should wear jeans more often. He even bought me this pair (a while back) and this autumn I've been wearing it pretty often. Good thing about jeans is that they are easy to style. That is probably what makes them so popular. I've styled this pair of jeans with an authentic Croatian folklore shirt. Croatian traditional wear is very versatile, we have hundreds of different folklore costumes. I just love European folklore costumes, they're so rich and beautiful. 

ANOTHER FOLKLORE INSPIRED OUTFIT: 

Here's another folklore inspired outfit that I wore in the past. Like the previous styling, this outfit includes one authentic folklore item and in this case that would be the bag. This outfit is also more colourful than the first one I shared. Folklore accessories such as bags or necklaces can be a great way to bring some colour into your outfit. Traditional clothes and accessories are often abundant in colour and patters, so opting for them is always a great way to add visual interest to  your outfit. Autumn is a season that's particularly rich in colour, so that might be why many of us feel more drawn to colour this time of year.

To wrap up this post, here are a few more early Autumn outfit ideas. I often like to add a bit of colour to my Autumn outfits. So, here are some 'colourful accents' outfit options in case you're in mood for some colour therapy. As I said, folklore accessories or folklore inspired prints (such as tartan) are just perfect for adding some colour and pattern to our Autumn fashion. I also like to add accents in bold colours, such as yellow or red. I actually think they match the darker colour quite nicely. Well, you know me. I'm always in mood for some mix and matching.
