Outfit of the day (Split city, an old stone house)

I have another quick post for you, a post in which I'll be sharing a few photographs of my dear Split city and an outfit of the day. I already wore a similar outfit here. This short black coat is a favourite of mine, probably because it is so easy to style. This time I paired it with a red hoodie for extra warmth. The boots I wore have high heels, but comfortable ones, so this styling is stuck somewhere between casual and dressed up. It is not exactly dressed up, but it is not entirely casual either- that could perhaps be said of majority of my outfits. I liked to mix feminine items with casual ones. Some might call it casual chic and I wouldn't mind. I suppose that I like to have fun with clothes, but I don't like to suffer for fashion. My style is probably a reflection of that. A bit playful, but nothing extreme. From time to time, I do wish I was a bit more fashion forward, but there is always time for that, right?

This was a  bittersweet moment captured here. I was feeling happy to be back in my home town,  but sorry to see the roof of this old stone house fall down. It is exactly these kind of old stone houses that are my favourites in Split, because I feel they give the city its soul. Nevertheless, we all know that nothing lasts forever. The only thing that is constant in life is change. We might as well embrace it. One moment something is there, the next it isn't. We lose people and things we love...and sometimes we lose ourselves as well. Sometimes we find ourselves again. Nothing is for certain. Rules are always changing.

Throwback to 2014

Here I am taking a minute to admire this beautiful historical building and enjoy the sunshine. It's the little moments, many say. They might be on to something. Taking the time to enjoy the present is important. After all, we do live in the now. If I find the time, I want to draw this house. I should make a mental note of that. There are so many things I want to draw and/or paint, I sometimes don't know where to start. Walks can be particularly inspiring. I do love winter walks. Do you?

Oh, it's so fine to see a post of you - I didn't know yet that you are "back in blogging world"! You look pretty in you black coat - and yes, I can understand that you felt sad when you saw the destroyed roof of the nice old stone house... If you wanna see me on a winter walk you can visit my curent post.

  6. Oh yes, it is a bittersweet feeling, seeing the old stone buildings collapse... hopefully there is a possibility to save some of them, even if not this particular one. I also loved the yellow house - definitely painting worthy, something magical about it!

And you always look stylish and feminine, playful in your clothes. Love the summer dress on you! You are such a beautiful woman!

And yes, I love winter walks, more than summer walks even, as it can get too hot for me to walk in summer.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

My fashion illustration of the day + book review / Moja modna ilustracija dana + ogled knjige ( Le Diable au corps) 6.12.2016

This morning I read an amazing novel. Le Diable au corps (translated as The Devil In the Flesh) is a novel by Raymond Radiquet. Believe it or not, this was by first book by this French writer. I don't think I even heard of him before, which is odd, but well, it happens. In his time, Raymond was quite a celebrity and he is still considered as one of the important French writers of that period. Did I like this novel? Quite frankly, I loved it. I just couldn't put this novel down. I must have read it an hour or so. I got up a bit more earlier this morning so I actually had time to read it with my morning coffee (it is not a very long novel but still it is amazing how easy it was to find one's self glued to those pages). Perhaps I should make it a habit, getting up more early so I can read more.
Jutros sam pročitala divan roman. Đavo u tijelu  (naslov izvornika Le Diable au corps) je roman Raymonda Radiqueta. Vjerovali ili ne, ovo je moj prvi roman ovoga pisca. Mislim da nika…

Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

February Recap (art & DIY projects & outfits)

I've put a lot of effort into blogging this February, I hope it shows. As far as the content goes, February was similar to January, mostly a mix of my illustrations and outfit posts (here). This month I was full of positing ideas and I managed to make many of them happen. I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I feel bad about is making my blog monolingual and not using my other languages, but translating texts from English to other languages takes such a long time. It is so much easier to just write in English.  Hopefully, I'll manage to change that and make my blog multilingual again. I need to organize my time better. Fingers crossed. For March I already have a few posts prepared. You can expect more art (mostly fashion illustrations) & outfit posts.

DIY PROJECTS
I shared two DIY projects in February, one about making a Barbie dress, the other was about how to paint a plant container. I don't have any DIY projects prepared for March, but I'm sure that I…
