Fashion illustration of the day ( location Mostar lake)

I think that I already mentioned that I'm trying to get into location illustrating as well. This quick watercolour sketch is an example of that. Once again, I felt like adding a background to my fashion illustration. This background was inspired by my last visit to Mostar lake. Being close to any kind of a large water surface is potentially beneficial for our health. Do you like visiting lakes? My last post was all about sea therapy, but I guess a case could be made for lake therapy as well. Mostar lake is a truly beautiful location. It already inspired one illustration of mine.

Inspiration behind the painting here

The outfit I illustrated is a casual one. I've been seeing more and more mini skirts worn this Winter and I do like this trend. Worn with warm tights or leggings, mini skirts are a great way to refresh our winter wardrobe. So, I illustrated a nice denim mini skirt, paired with a  magenta top and a brown coat.  How do you like this outfit? I'm becoming obsessed with magenta (supposedly the correct name for dark pink). We live and learn. Have a great weekend everyone!

  13. I love lakes! Don't really have any pretty ones near where I live currently, but used to live quite near a huge lake in Poland which was super clear and so beautiful. I like being near the water in general, something very relaxing about it. :) Beautiful illustration as always beaut, that denim skirt is so pretty! Thank you for sharing xoxo

  19. Looved that amazing illustration, and the pose is the same! I loved your jacket and the skirt is lovely! You look very beautiful and always talented! The lake is really gorgeous and it seems it is good to be near water, for many illnesses. Doctors sometime recommend bathing in the sea! I need the sea for my soul, I love it! Or lakes or anything with water! So I loved your illustration even more! Hope you have a lovely week, dear Ivana, relax and enjoy it!

  23. Hey Ivana, hope you're having a good start of the week :D I love that you're always creating and reflecting the chronicles of your daily life into art, as Frida Kahlo used to say painting and creating could be not only soothing but also a good therapy, is like a visual diary and I encourage you to keep creating 'cause your blog is one of my favorites!

Love this girl and the way she's staring in front of the peace of water, my favorite element tho and the one that relaxes me the most!

Best! Gonna check the posts I missed from last days!

  24. I really like how you mention that water is beneficial for our health to be around. I remember I once read how people who live by the sea are happiest, because it can calming and helps give perspective on your life :) I love how you've incorporating locations and scenery as backdrops into your fashion illustrations; it's unique :)
