Međugorje- Mostar (Styling cropped flares / nošenje kraćih trapezica)

One pair of cropped flared jeans. Two outfits. Two places (Mostar & Međugorje). Cropped flares seem to be in right now. I could pretend that I was right on trend. Say that I bought my cropped flares ahead of time. However, you would all know that's just not true because you have seen me wear them for years now.

The truth is that I often have issues finding a pair of pants of adequate length. But, because I love flares so much I have kept buying them even when there was some definite length missing. What you know? Now cropped flares are all the rave...and I can pretend that I'm right on trend, even if it really only a coincidence.

To tell you the truth, I don't remember when was the last time that I bought a clothing item. Perhaps I'm just tired of stores. Furniture and appliance shopping is exhausting. I'm starting to see why people hire professionals to do interior design for them. It is a lot of work. On the other hand, perhaps the reason of my buying clothes has nothing to do with laziness or being tired. Perhaps I'm just enjoying shopping my closet.

Jedan par kraćih traperica trapezica. Dvije odjevne kombinacije. Dva mjesta (Mostar i Međugorje).

  10. I hear you on shopping your own closet because I've been enjoying doing that myself :) These cropped flares look like a very stylish addition to your wardrobe and the fact that you've styled them in two different outfits already shows off their versatility.

  17. You cute in that puffer coat but my favorite is the second one, the colors suits you so beautifully, Ivana. Shopping ones own closet is a wise thing to do. I have changed my shopping habits dramatically, no longer is there a Friday shopping spree, no longer oh I like it I buy it but a lot of closet shopping instead, and I am suprised how many clothes I have worn only once and therefor they are still new to me, lol.

  18. Your cropped flare jeans look great in these pictures. After having blogged about cropped flares in my fashion blog, I found them as a great opportunity to showcase your favorite shoes, sneakers, or sandals. Flares are attractive to me regardless. However, there's something about cropped flares that are uniquely appealing. You kind of show that uniqueness with these pictures. The lace-up boots are nice, but for the appeal of these bottoms, maybe some wild or chic shoes or sandals would have been better. Still styled well regardless!

  20. Such a gorgeous blue sky - and of course gorgeous you in your flared pants! It's great to "shop your closet" when you've already created a fun closet to shop from! :) I'm all up for that too!! :)

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
