Why do we like to wear jewellery? Tiny Sand

Hi there! How are all of you doing? Why do we like to war jewellery? I happen to think there are many good reasons. Today we'll talk a bit about jewellery (or jewerly if you prefer American English spelling to British English one). From as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with jewellery. I supposed that is the case with most women. Our tastes may differ but we most of us like jewellery. My tastes haven’t always been the same either. There were times when I preferred minimalistic jewellery and there were times when I preferred elaborative jewellery items. In fact, I’m still often like that. So, I would have to say this may be the case even today. Sometimes I change my mind every day.  Do you? Or do you have your favourite jewellery items that you wear every day? Jewellery is a fascinating subject. Besides, talking about it, today I'll also be introducing Tiny sand site to you. This site specializes in selling jewellery items. I will show you some items they have in their shop, for instance: silver charms for bracelets, leather bracelets, silver rings, Pandora inspired items, pieces that are suitable for birthday and Christmas Gifts etc.

What is your favourite jewellery item? I’m not sure I have one. I love jewellery in all shapes and sizes: bracelets, rings, necklaces, pedants and charms. When it comes to jewellery, there are many items that I like. As I said, it depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to pile jewellery and at times I prefer to keep things more minimalistic, opting for just one ring or one bracelet. Jewellery can be both a fashion accessory and a piece of sentimental value. Often we give and receive jewellery for special occasions. We give jewellery to people who matter to us, when we want to give them something of ours to have with themselves at all times. Perhaps that is why jewellery fascinates me so. I have items that I bought myself, but there are even more jewellery items that I got as gifts. Sometimes I put on a piece of jewellery to match my outfit and sometimes I do it for emotional and sentimental reasons. If I’m to meet the person who have me a piece of jewellery, I will often remember to wear that precise piece. For example, today I'm going to meet a lady who once gave me a golden bracelet. Usually I prefer silver, but because golden pieces were often given to me as a gift, I started wearing gold more often. Do you like silver? If you do and if you have noticed the basic silver bracelets on the photographs above, note that you can find them here. You prefer something more rock chic? You can purchase the leather bracelets you can see above here.

Rings can be bought here

Do you like glass charms?  This site offers charms that can be personalized, for example, a photograph of your loved ones can become a charm for your bracelet. Now, wouldn't that be  a nice Christmas gift?

  9. Hey Ivana! Hope you're doing right! Your blog is like a box of chocolates, full of surprises, with different topics (and interesting of course).

I think jewelry is ART, it can a be a legacy through the years and of course when it comes to fashion is like the detail, the cherry on top and you know what they say: the devil is on the details ;) So it is wise to choose the perfect piece for every single ocassion! Even tho this option seems amazing! Would like to know a little more about it! There is a designer from my hometown 'Gala is love' and she's a genius working mostly with gold ;) Check it out if you're interested in this topic!

  23. I have love for jewelry since my childhood I believe, haha...I used to take my mom's earrings/rings/beads and try them on. My biggest weakness are rings, but any interesting item - earrings, necklaces, bracelts - do attract my attention. Thank you for introducing this site, I will check them out.

  24. Dear Ivana, for me it is the same! I change my mind in the context nearly every day :) Sometimes I prefer to wear big statement jewellery, other times very fine jewellery is my first choice. And at the moment I have to admit I prefer even to wear no jewellery besides my wedding ring and my watch :) Happy weekend, dear Ivana!

    Lep pozdrav

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.

My fashion illustration of the day + book review / Moja modna ilustracija dana + ogled knjige ( Le Diable au corps) 6.12.2016

This morning I read an amazing novel. Le Diable au corps (translated as The Devil In the Flesh) is a novel by Raymond Radiquet. Believe it or not, this was by first book by this French writer. I don't think I even heard of him before, which is odd, but well, it happens. In his time, Raymond was quite a celebrity and he is still considered as one of the important French writers of that period. Did I like this novel? Quite frankly, I loved it. I just couldn't put this novel down. I must have read it an hour or so. I got up a bit more earlier this morning so I actually had time to read it with my morning coffee (it is not a very long novel but still it is amazing how easy it was to find one's self glued to those pages). Perhaps I should make it a habit, getting up more early so I can read more.

Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

February Recap (art & DIY projects & outfits)

I've put a lot of effort into blogging this February, I hope it shows. As far as the content goes, February was similar to January, mostly a mix of my illustrations and outfit posts (here). This month I was full of positing ideas and I managed to make many of them happen. I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I feel bad about is making my blog monolingual and not using my other languages, but translating texts from English to other languages takes such a long time. It is so much easier to just write in English.  Hopefully, I'll manage to change that and make my blog multilingual again. I need to organize my time better. Fingers crossed. For March I already have a few posts prepared. You can expect more art (mostly fashion illustrations) & outfit posts.

DIY PROJECTS
I shared two DIY projects in February, one about making a Barbie dress, the other was about how to paint a plant container. I don't have any DIY projects prepared for March, but I'm sure that I…
