Bikini (fashion illustrations of the day/modne ilustracije dana)

B is for beautiful. B is for beach, B is for bikini, B is for breath-taking views. B is for a busy bee that deserves a vaction, My fashion illustrations have decided to pack their bags and go on a vacation. They want to spend some time on the beach, soak in the sun and make most of the Summer. I hope you don't mind guys. Today's fashion illustrations are all about that eternal classic: the bikini. Do you like bikinis? Do you wear them? What kind of swimwear do you prefer?

Nazdravimo! Volite li bikinije? Nosite li ih? Kakve kupaće kostime volite?

  1. Oh I love going on a virtual vacation with you through your pretty illustrations! And the way you presented these with the shadows is awesome! I tend to prefer tankini's more than bikinis more because I feel they suit me better. I'm actually a big fan of retro style swimwear.

  13. B is for busy bee that deserves a vacation so describes me right now. Since I can't go I'm vacationing vicariously through your illustrations. So so beautiful. I love bikinis but I go more for a vintage style. The high waisted is my favorite. Much as I'm not a swimmer, I collect those so I can sit around the pool or beach and people watch or wade in shallow waters. I am petrified of water having lost a brother to it. How fabulous are these illustrations! I know I've said it before but I'll say it again and again, you are very talented. Great details as always. Totally amazing!!!! I hope you enjoy a great weekend Ivana.

    1. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and I can understand why swimming might make you pertified....I know a lot of people who don't go into deep waters and there are real risks, especially when ocean is concerned, it makes sense to stay in shallow waters.

  16. Those are so vivid and lovely, great work! As much as it may surprise you, I actually find one-piece swimsuits more exciting on women than a bikini. Something about the fit and the mystery.

WHAT DRESS TO CHOOSE THIS AUTUMN? SPECIAL OCCASION OUTFIT IDEAS

As I mentioned in one of my last post, I'm already thinking about what I might wear for all those festive occasions that are coming up. Autumn and Winter both have its fair share of festivities. Our social calendar can be quite busy this time of year with all the meetings, events, festivities, celebrations, family and work parties. Some of these social occasions come with a black tie dress code, so I decided to prepare some outfit ideas.  A bit of formal wear inspiration for  my readers. All of these photographs were taken the day before yesterday. We're enjoying a rather warm Autumn in Herzegovina but these outfits I'm sharing can be easily be adapted for colder weather. Just throw a warm coat or a blazer over them, and that would be that.  That's what I plan to do once it gets colder. Anyhow, all four dresses I'll be sharing with you today are from Rosegal. This is my second collaboration with this site, if you want you can have a look at my first one here. With…

Fashion Illustration Friday: Inspired by Colours of Autum

Time for another Fashion Illustration Friday talk. We'll talk autumn and share some new autumn inspired fashion illustrations & outfits. Autumn is a season with one of the most beautiful colour palettes. Just think about all those gorgeous gold and red leaves! Even the fruits of Autumn are visually stunning, for example the delicious and juicy fruits such as pomegranates and grapes. With so much to appeal to our senses, it's hard not to be appreciative of autumn. It is a stunning season indeed, so small wonder I was inspired to create some fashion art. Scroll down to see and read more.

AUTUMN COLOUR COMBOS TO CONSIDER
Besides enjoying the colours of autumn, I sure love wearing colour in autumn, and that's what I'll write about today. Whether we're talking about accessories or clothes, a bit of colour can take us a long way. Here are some illustrated & photographed colour combos to consider.

HOW TO STYLE TARTAN IN A CASUAL WAY? OUTFIT PROPOSALS + FASHION ILLUSTRATION

I was thinking about why I like tartan pattern so much, when one reason crossed my mind. I figured that it probably has something to do with the history and the culture behind this particular pattern. After all, I always say that traditional and folklore clothing (be it original or reproduced) carries additional value. Traditional patterns can be such an wonderful source of inspiration. Traditional patters have soul to them, one might say. The history of tartan is particularly interesting. Today we mostly associate tartan with Scotland, but according to some historians, tartan like fabrics were used by ancient Celtic populations spreading across the British Isles as early as the sixth and the eight century BC. Well, that one old pattern for sure! However, even if tartan clothes are really as old as ancient Celts, it is the still Scotland that is responsible for tartan we know today. Did you know that different tartan patterns can represent different Scottish families? Something like …
