Another transitional outfit....još jedna prijelazna kombinacija......

We have another transitional outfit on blog again. What to wear when it is sunny but also a bit windy?  My answer is always layering. Spring is an ideal time to give all your blazers a chance to get out of your closet. Materials are something to keep in mind as well. For example, this skirt I'm wearing ( a mix of wool and silk) is a very comfortable choice for Spring. I'm wearing an outfit that is a mix of vintage pieces and clothing items I have had for a while (in other words nothing new). You know that I like to 'shop my closet'.  I just love this mini leather bag my friend got me for my birthday (it's a second hand vintage leather bag but it looks brand new). If you're against wearing leather (for whatever reason), consider buying vintage or second hand leather items. We all know that buying second hand clothes and items is good for enviroment. Now, about the location, we're still in Mostar. I realized that I totally forgot to show you Mostar's city cathedral. To make for it, today I'm sharing a lot of photographs of it. Its official name is Cathedral of Mary, Queen of the Sky and Mother of Church. Mostar's city cathedral was build in the eighties and it is located in vicinity of Bishop's residence (that you can see on these photographs as well. In fact, the bishop's residence comes first in order of photographs). That's all for today! Enjoy your weekend!

  8. Wow, dear Ivana, the skirt is so beautiful and I love it how you have combined it with the blazer and the hat! Yes, you are right, in spring we have really the possibility to wear all the blazers in our closet :) And thank you for sharing that many impressing pictures from the cathedral in Mostar, seems to be really a buidling with a clear and neat architecture. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the weekend!

  11. That outfit is super cool and you look so lovely and wow in it. Those curves are so exciting each time you share them. Great, scenic locales but I long for the sight of a McDonalds in your country, something more mundane. I like seeing how things here look there. Odd duck I know :)

  29. What a lovely transitional look!! I love your boots and the pop of red...and the little bag looks just perfect. It has the sort of size that I really love. Buying vintage leather is actually a great idea...since I turned vegetarian I resort to that far more often too.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY: INSPIRED BY SUMMER STYLE

Time for another FASHION ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY! Today I'll share four fashion illustrations with you. The medium for all these four illustrations is coloured pencils on A4 regular printing paper.  The materials used weren't anything fancy, but I still wanted to share these. I drew two of these sketches without a specific reference. The outfits illustrated were a product of my imagination. However, the other two fashion illustrations were drawn with a reference. I was inspired by two fashion bloggers and I drew the summer outfits they were wearing. The illustrations are drawn in classical proportions, not elongated ones that I often use for fashion sketches. I do draw in different styles, sometimes the choice of style depends on the artistic effect I'm going to and sometimes just on  my mood (especially when I'm not doing anything particulary ambitious). 14 WAYS TO STYLE ONE BLUE DENIM SKIRT: SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES

Sustainable fashion is such a hot topic right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned into a fashion revolution. More and more people are trying to minimize their carbon print by re-wearing their clothes and shopping their closets. One good way to build a functioning wardrobe you'll love to shop is to make sure you have a couple of essential items in it. These basic pieces can help you shop your closet more easily and become more sustainable in your fashion choices. A denim skirt is one such classical and essential item.  Today I'll show you ten ways to style a denim skirt. I had this particular denim skirt for a couple of years, it's by Croatian denim brand Amadeus (not sponsored) that I can recommend for its quality denim. For me this skirt is one of those items that are season-less and by that I mean those clothing items that can be worn in any season. If you're creative enough, you can figure out a way to wear most of your clothes in any season, but some ite…

HOW I GOT INSPIRED BY D&G AUTUMN/WINTER 2019/2020 COLLECTION? (PART 1)

Yesterday I finally took the the time to watch (and listen) to the Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 collection. The runaway show was organized in retro style and lasted about half and hour. Instead of music, it featured a British narrator who commented on the designs in the old style (that is how fashion shows used to be presented, narrated instead of accompanied by the music). Anyhow, I found the both the narration and the narrator charming. The fact that the narrator pointed out all the materials used was quite helpful. The models seemed to move quite quickly, but there were 127 looks displayed so the show took a quite some time to finish. It took me twice as long to study the photographs as to see the show. The trend analysis took even more time. However, that time was not spent in vain for I was finally inspired to ponder my autumn and winter outfits. What do you know? D&G Autumn/Winter collection gave me plenty of inspiration for the colder season ahead. I don'…
