Golden girl / Zlatna djevojka

Who doesn't want to be golden? Most idioms connected with gold denote something positive. Furthermore, what says Autumn more than gold? Gold is the colour of wealth, luxury and triumph.  The greated wealth and triumph is that of nature, for nature is born anew every season with luxury no man can copy. This golden dress was love at first sight. I bought it despite the fact that it is a bit shorter than I prefer my dresses to be, but I don't regret it. When I embroided it myself, it became even more special to me. I couldn't resist wearing this DIY necklace  with it. This is DIY kind of outfit all the way.  I do my best to justify the compliments I receive about my creativity and craft/ DIY skills,

Tko ne bi volio biti zlatan? Većina idioma povezana s zlatom označava nešto pozitivno. Nadalje, što kaže jesen više od zlatne? Zlatna je boja bogatstva, luksuza i trijumfa. Najveće je bogatstvo i trijumf prirode koja se uvijek obnavlja i ponovo rađa svakog novog godišnjeg doba u luksuzu koji nijedan čovjek ne može kopirati. Ova zlatna haljina je bila ljubav na prvi pogled. Kupila sam je unatoč tome što je malo kraća nego haljine koje inače nosim, ali ne žalim to. Kada sam je sama izvezla, počela mi je značiti još i više. Nisam mogla odoljeti da je ne uskladim s ovom ogrlicom koju sam sama napravila. Baka mi uvijek kaže da imam zlatne ruke, a trudim se taj kompliment koji dosta često dobivam od raznih ljudi i opravdam.

    Meni je ova haljina novost, bacila sam pogled i na raniji post, divno si to napravila i ona je sad stvarno nešto posebno i jedinstveno. Baš kao i ti. :) Vratilo me to u djetinjstvo kada sam gledala prabaku kako radi ručni rad, naravno da sam gnjavila da i meni da da probam, ali bi mi brzo dosadilo. :D

      cipele sam kupila u Borsi, to je jedan lanac trgovina za torbe i cipele ovdje u BIH , a sve svoje stvari uvoze iz Italije. Kupila sam ih za svoje vjenčanje i baš sam požalila što nisam uzela još neke drugog broja (ostao je samo po jedan par u nekoliko brojeva tada) pa da mogu nekom pokloniti.

    I consider being golden a positive thing as well! For the Chinese, gold objects definitely symbolize wealth and good fortune. This dress is pretty on it's own but the personal embellishments you added really give it such personality and life. I'm so impressed with your embroidery skills!

      I'm glad you agree that gold can be a very positive colour. I know that the Chinese also consider red to be a sign of good fortune and I love red too...thank you for appreciating my embroidery skilly. Embroidery is actually suprisingly easy to learn but it is very time consuming.

    That embroidery dress looks really great on you and the handmade necklace is not a halfpenny the worse. Your technical skill is really impressive, those different necklaces with semiprecious stones and sparkles have already become your personal definitive distinctions.

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How are you today? I'm back with another Ursula K. Le Guin book review. In this post, I'll review " Forgiveness Day" , a science fiction novella that is a part of the Hainish Circle. Published in 1995, "Forgiveness Day " won multiple awards. This novella is often published together with her other novellas from the Hainish Circle, and it can be find in various editions of Four Ways to Forgiveness and Five Ways to Forgiveness.   Thematically, this novella is a part of five stories featuring two Hainish planets, but it can definitely be read on its own. I think it functions well as a stand alone novella. I listened to it in audio form, and I didn't have any problems following the story.  The world building is simple and effective.
