Drawing of the day / Crtež dana

my drawing of the day/ moj crtež dana

Happiness is often illogical, it comes when we least expect it or it arrives fashionably late, having a charm of a woman who knows she'll be forgiven.

Sreća je često nelogična, dolazi s zakašnjenjem ali u stilu, posjedujući šarm žene koja zna da će joj biti oprošteno.

  10. I 100% agree that happiness usually come when one is least expecting it. Regardless that it's fashionably late, at least happiness arrives. Better late than never as the saying goes. :-)

  19. I love this illustration, it tells it's own story. Happiness comes from doing things we're good at, doing things to help others and doing things to take care of ourselves. Have a nice day Ivana! xo

  20. Prelepo rečeno! Toliko ima istine u tome...

  24. Post maravilhoso

  25. Happiness can not be always predicted. Life is naturally full of ups and downs. Recovering from it is all that matters :). Very nice post.

  27. Lovely misss you drew here! And of course the words....they warm my heart. Happiness is such a weird thing! I've had moments in my life, where I don't have one freaking reason to be happy and yet I am, and often I have a lot of reasons, and I'm sad. Happiness comes from within, as cliche as this sounds, it is true!

  28. Such a charming drawing and I love what you said about happiness. It is indeed quite illogical :)

  29. Damica je mnogo simpatična, a tvoj zakljucak o sreci, mnogo poetican i tacan :)

  30. its right!!! nice pict :)
    have a nice week

  31. I do love the words and it's interesting that you used the word 'charm' because the first thing I thought when I saw the drawing is that your drawings are charming. They are whimsical and thoughtful looking. xoxo

  32. Love the quotes, sweetie! xoxo

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

February recap / sažetak veljače

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
