outfit post (new in) / odjevna kombinacija( nešto novo)

I wore this outfit last Sunday. It was raining all morning and than the sun miraculously made an appearance....I bet the tourists in Split were happy about that, they looked terribly confused during those rainy days we had last week. What can I say in our defense? Even in the Caribbeans there is bound to be a rainy season. Mediterranean climate is wonderful but even we get a few rainy days once in a while.

Nosila sam ovu odjevnu kombinaciju prošle nedjelje.
folklore bag/folklorna torba: hand made for me by my late grandmother / napravila ju je za mene moja pokojna bajka
white faux leather jacket/ bijela jakna od eko kože: Tally Weijl
scarf in my hair/ šal u kosi: (gift from my friend Ivana/ Ivanin poklon)---hvala još jednom draga ako čitaš!
shoes/ cipele: Peko

You must be really getting tired of this green dress. I must have worn it in 101 outfit posts so far, but you know what? This is probably not the last time...Besides, I often wear my clothes until they fall apart...I'm environmentally friendly that way, I allow them to recycle on their own;). Joking aside, I bought new shoes at Peko that I literally plan to wear all the time.  I haven't taken them off my feet since the day I bought them (except to go to sleep obviously) and I have already walked miles in them. They have this retro vibe that I really dig and right now I need some extra help to feel good. So far, these shoes have done a wonderful job taking my attention out of some issues. Plus, I bought them in an outlet so they were a real bargain. I plan to wear them as often as I can so prepare yourself for lack of shoe diversity in the posts to come.

  5. Your shoes must be comfy, if you've worn them a lot! It's rare to find good high heels for a good price that are comfortable for everyday wear. I've cut back on a lot of shoes (donated and sold many), so I am lacking in shoe diversity as well. Most of the time, I am barefoot anyway ;-)

We had some rain here in the US too (2 straight days), and when the sun came out it was so humid... yikes. The worst type of weather, I say.

I like the look of this outfit. Definitely something I would wear myself!

    1. I think the comfort level depend on a type of heel. Chunky heels tend to offer more stability...but it depends on the quality too. That being said, I don't think that stilettos can ever be superbly comfy.

  13. Ha...the thought of shreds of clothes falling off your body...let's just not go down that route :D I know what you mean though and I think it's a way to do your part. I'm still wearing pieces I bought in my early teens. Why not right? Besides...if a dress looks that good on you, you should certainly wear the hell out of it :)

  29. You know what, Ivana? I am like you too. If I like something and it makes me feel comfortable then I'll wear it all the time. So what if people see me in the same clothes or shoes a lot? What's important is it makes me feel good and you look great in that dress and shoes! xx

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.

My fashion illustration of the day + book review / Moja modna ilustracija dana + ogled knjige ( Le Diable au corps) 6.12.2016

This morning I read an amazing novel. Le Diable au corps (translated as The Devil In the Flesh) is a novel by Raymond Radiquet. Believe it or not, this was by first book by this French writer. I don't think I even heard of him before, which is odd, but well, it happens. In his time, Raymond was quite a celebrity and he is still considered as one of the important French writers of that period. Did I like this novel? Quite frankly, I loved it. I just couldn't put this novel down. I must have read it an hour or so. I got up a bit more earlier this morning so I actually had time to read it with my morning coffee (it is not a very long novel but still it is amazing how easy it was to find one's self glued to those pages). Perhaps I should make it a habit, getting up more early so I can read more.

Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

February Recap (art & DIY projects & outfits)

I've put a lot of effort into blogging this February, I hope it shows. As far as the content goes, February was similar to January, mostly a mix of my illustrations and outfit posts (here). This month I was full of positing ideas and I managed to make many of them happen. I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I feel bad about is making my blog monolingual and not using my other languages, but translating texts from English to other languages takes such a long time. It is so much easier to just write in English.  Hopefully, I'll manage to change that and make my blog multilingual again. I need to organize my time better. Fingers crossed. For March I already have a few posts prepared. You can expect more art (mostly fashion illustrations) & outfit posts.

DIY PROJECTS
I shared two DIY projects in February, one about making a Barbie dress, the other was about how to paint a plant container. I don't have any DIY projects prepared for March, but I'm sure that I…
