to wear a painting( outfit post) / nositi sliku (odjevna kombinacija)

How does it feels to wear your own painting? Pretty good, I must say. The design on this skirt I have created with red textile paints. I'm aware that this outfit is a bit out there, featuring not only my art but all kinds of prints and colours....but hey, you only live once. The location for these photographs is hotel Mogrjelo.  Whenever we are in Čapljina, we usually stop there to have a coffee. Why? Is it necessary to ask?

  17. I had some catching up to do! You always looks so fresh and elegant in whatever you wear and very pretty even without makeup. That's so cool that you have your art on your clothes. Is it your art on the blue coat and the jeans as well? We had a lovely sunny February too but typically, March wants to be wet and windy. I hope you have lots more sunny days and I look forward to seeing more of your art on your clothes! xoxo

That's really a beautiful and unique skirt and nobody else in the world would have such an artistic skirt like yours! I do agree that there seems to be more than 1 thing going on there but I love the quirkiness and you're right about the fact that you only love once. SO experiment all you want. It is always cool to look back at these photos.

  59. You painted your skirt? That's wonderful! My daughter draws on her T-shirts or canvas purses. I think it's a perfect statement for an artistic individual! You look absolutely wonderful in your outfit, cozy yet fresh. Beautiful place, and no, I won't ask why you love coming here. :)

I wanted to thank you for kind, thoughtful and warm comment you left on my blog recently. You touched my heart. I know what you mean about looking for job and not being able to find it. I think many of us go through it at one point or another. I can only tell you what my dear friend Libby kept repeating me when we went through a dark patch. It's always darkest before the dawn. And also, keep your dreams in your heart always. Love them. Believe in them. They are there for a reason!

TWO WAYS TO STYLE A SCARF (SUSTAINABLE FASHION FILES)

Today I'll show you two ways to style a scarf: one is by wrapping it around your headband and the other by using it as a belt for your dress.  I'm also going to link up old posts with more ideas for styling this scarf, offering you about a dozen ideas. The first idea is a common one. Wearing a belt around your dress is an easy way to accentuate your waist. The other outfit proposal shows a fresh styling trick: wearing your scarf wrapped around your headband. Yes, you read that right. This is actually such an easy way to make the most out of your headband(s). I own only one headband but by wrapping different scarves around it, it seems like I have a dozen of them.  As for the two outfits I'm going to show to you, they are both summer ones. The colour palette for these looks is pretty neutral, but I jazzed it up by choosing printed white items. I do like the freshness that the white colour offers, but as a lover of prints I tend to compromise by opting for printed white ite…

SUMMER TO AUTUMN OUTFITS FEATURING A VINTAGE BLACK MAXI DRESS

Today I'll show you seven ways  to wear a black maxi dress. This beautiful vintage dress was gifted to me by a family member. I don't own many solid black maxi dresses (probably because I'm addicted to bold prints and colours). I do own quite a few little black dress (because a LBD is such a classical piece) but not that many black ones in maxi length. In fact, I believe this is the only plain black maxi dress I own. I find it really easy to style. I treat this maxi as a neutral piece and I wear it all year round. I actually added embroidery to it (it's a hobby of mine) but the embroidery detail isn't that big (for now) so I tend to style it as a plain black dress. By that I mean that I like to have fun with accessories when I wear this dress. I often wear it with statement necklaces I made myself or similar eye-catching accessories. Anyhow, I figured that with the summer to autumn transitioning that is going on right now, it would make sense to show you some tran…

SUMMER ISN'T OVER YET IN SPLIT CITY (CROATIA)

Summer isn't over yet. Not in Split city. The temperatures are still high and the sun is shining. Let me take you around and show you what this beautiful Croatian coastal city has to offer. If you're planning on visiting Croatia, right now is the perfect time to get that summer feel. I love exploring Split city on foot ( I already explained why it is a good idea to explore Split on foot in this post).  You know, I was always aware that Split is a  truly unique place, even when it wasn't as popular as it is today. I used to walk everywhere when I lived here! I'm a big believer in getting to know a city on foot. You can never know a town until you explore its every corner on foot. I have more posts about Split scheduled and many more stories to tell. Some places we carry in our hearths, and our proximity to them is of little importance. I'm fortunate to have been able to make the most of my time spent in Split. My visits to Split have been short but sweet. I don'…
