Shoes are boring, wear sneakers (outfit post/ odjevna kombinacija)

'Shoes are boring, wear sneakers', instructs the ad for converse sneakers. Point taken. I've worn sneakers quite often this summer and I plan to continue doing so. I've never actually bough a pair of converse sneakers but I've had plenty lookalikes over the years. I guess I just don't feel like spending more than 5 euros on a pair of sneakers made from denim. Sorry. ( I'd much rather buy a few more books to add to my home library.)

Anyhow, wearing sneakers only makes sense. Not only are they comfortable but they have been fashionable for a while now (as you all undoubtedly know). In the summer they're very suited for those long walks and as it is still summer in Croatia and it will be until the end of this month (minus a few rainy days now and then) I say yes to sneakers!

This outfit  was granny approved. You see my grandmother said I should wear short dresses and skirts more often...and when they say old people are old-fashioned:) they really don't know what they're talking about. As for the location, it's my parents house( bay Torac, island Hvar.) They rent it every summer, if you want to check it out go here.

  5. The photographs are very beautiful, I'm always impressed by the location and places which you demonstrate here at your blog. "Granny approved outfit" sounds really sweet:))))) If my point of view has any meaning, I'd say I approve this outfit too:) I love the way this dress looks on you and the shady hat makes the whole outfit looks complete:) As for sneakers, I'm not the biggest fan of such kind of footwear, but at least one pair should be available in the wardrobe of any girl. I'm just the same, I don't like buying expensive or brand stuff, I'd better buy a new book or anything else, more useful.
Such a great post turned out, I enjoyed it very much! Take care, Ivana!

  8. You look marvellous doll!! Sometimes sneakers are the only thing to wear when you want to go on an adventure. I wore jelly shoes even on a walk and my feet were killing me and I didn't enjoy myself so much, as soon as I put my sneakers on, I was in heaven, haha. Gorgeous legs too :))) xx

A tek morska pozadina, bez komentara! Prelepo!

  14. nice sunshine pics my dear. but unfortunately i dont like converse sneakers at all. besides clogs and flip flops, converse sneakers are the kind of shoes i never would wear. I can not say why, but i find this pair aof shoes just ugly - sorry for that!!!

BUT your dress and hat are just stunning!!!

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
