DIY necklace in 3 easy steps/ uradi sam ogrlica u tri lagana koraka

Happy Sunday! Today's post won't be very long as I'm going to show you one necklace that I've made recently and already gave it away. I took this pics in a hurry (they're not very interesting and arty I'm afraid). Anyway, I'll try to make it a habit to document my creations before they end up as gifts.

If you want to try this DIY yourself, you will need: faux leather, some kind of decoration (I've bought these shiny plastic ones in store where they sell sewing equipment and I'm sure they're not hard to find wherever you may live) and a bit of satin cord.

step no.1
-cut out as much faux leather as you will need
step no.2
-sew the decoration of  your choice (beads, stones, crystals- whatever)
step no.3
-sew the satin cord making sure it is the right length for your neck....and it's really as easy as that!

* I think it's only fair that I warm you that you might experience pain or some kind of discomfort in your arms if you do this frequently. Sewing by hand is never easy and it's harder when it comes to leather (and even faux leather thought this one is obviously softer). That's why sometimes special tools are needed to work with leather (which I never managed to get my hands on but that's another subject.) So, don't say I didn't warn you;)

Ugodna nedjelja!

HOW TO STYLE A BROWN FAUX LEATHER COAT?

Today I'll show you a couple of ways to start a brown faux leather/ faux fur coat. We'll start with a more dressed up version. Now, this brown coat comes with a faux fur hoodie and that gives it more of a casual vibe, similar to that of a parka jacket. So, I decided to dressed it up with accessories (always the best way to dress up an item). I paired this coat with predominately black accessories: a pair of stilettos, a bag, a pair of earrings and a headband. I also wore a statement necklace. The dress I was wearing under the coat was a simple grey dress (bought at Terranova some time ago), so I wasn't afraid to pile on the accessories.  Scroll down to see and read more.  DIY HEADBAND PROJECT: HOW I HAND SEWED THE FLORAL APPLICATIONS You already had the chance of seeing this DIY headband many times, but it's been a whole since I showed you how I actually made it. I found some floral applications and just sewed them onto the headband. I often avoid gluing in my DIY proj…

20+ WAYS TO WEAR A TARTAN BLAZER FOR COLD WEATHER

Tartan is a true classic if you ask me. If you are a fan of this pattern, you might enjoy this post. Today I'll show you 20 plus ways to style a green tartan blazer for cold weather, starting with how I wore this green tartan blazer a few days ago. It was such a lovely day! Don't you just love those sunny winter days? I always feel better when it is sunny, even when it's a bit cold. On this particular sunny day, I decided to wear my tartan blazer. I wore two layers under it and topped it with a faux fur stole, so I was feeling quite warm and cozy. I paired it with a dusty pink skirt and a very comfy (and old) pair of brown heeled boots.

Anyhow, when I went on this sunny stroll with a colleague of mine, she complimented me on this green tartan blazer. That made me reflect on how many times I have worn  this tartan blazer. While I didn't keep a written record and cannot give you a precise number, I can tell you that this green blazer is one of the most worn items in my …

10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily? Today we'll analyze Malena's style and see what we can learn from her. There is much to learn! Having analyzed looks that Monica wore in iconic Malena film, I…
