Fashion illustration of the day/ Današnja modna ilustracija

Dream big

and don't be afraid to boldly go where no one has gone before...

 fashion illustration/  modna ilustracija
Today's fashion illustration comes with a credo 'Dream big'. I've noticed that I'm starting to become a person who is always preparing herself for the worst...and while there is nothing wrong in being realistic and facing the facts (which sometimes in life translated as  facing the ugly truth) we should never let that stop us from keeping a part of our spirit insanely optimistic. In other words: dream big. Dare to believe that you can become your best possible self. We life in a tough world and sometimes in order to survive we really need to be insane optimists, at least part-time.

The outfits I have portrayed  in the illustration are fun, playful and feminine. Perhaps that is what I've been looking for in clothes recently...a way to have some fun really:) The full skirts that were popular in the 50ties are back in and there is something I really like about them, something that says 'Do you wanna dance?'.

  8. Oh, I notice that you have new blog design, I couldn't make it out for the first time. Hope I will get used;) And I've got to say I do love your creative, original drawings. I also can really understand what you are talking about, I feel like that too. I'm too realistic and always preparing myself for the worst, I know it's wrong. I can't do anything about it, though. It is just difficult for me with my character:) At the same time I'm always trying to be more positive, appreciate what I have, but wish to do great things.
Such a great post turned out, I enjoyed it very much!

    1. Sometimes in our desire to do things, we don't notice what we already have...that often happens to me...No matter how much things I manage to do in life I always have a feeling like I haven't done anything. In an effort to assess the situation and do the best I can do, I often forget to dream a little or just to live in a moment and find joy wherever I can.

  13. First I wanna say how much I love also this illustrations and not only because the dominant colour is pink. But yes, I agree, 'Dream big' is a great intent and I believe in general that our dreams come true. To be honest I believe that all our thoughts come true, both the worse and the good thoughts. And you are so clever and beautiful that I'm convinced you are really able to reach many things in your life! I wish you further many success <3

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism.

You have seen (more or less) what was February like for me. Now tell me... what was February like for you? Are you happy that it's already March or do you feel like time is flying too fast? Are you looking forward to the spring?

As far as blogging goes, it seems that I have became more focused on fashion illustrations. In the next month the illustrations will have their place, but there will be more focus on DIY....or at least I think so, because I'm kind of heading in that direction. Apart from that, I have no plans. I have so many ideas when it comes to what I want to blog about, that I often have hard time deciding what not to include. As always, feel free to write about what you would like to see.

Wearing the First Dress I Ever Made: A Grey Midi Dress

Here it is: the first dress I have ever made entirely by myself. I did make some summer dresses in the past, but I had sown them without a pattern and a sewing machine and at any rate I wouldn't call them very accomplished. I mean, they weren't nearly as polished as this dress and they were not nearly as complex to make. I'm very happy with how this dress turned out. I'm even happier I took this sewing course in the first place because now I can make more dresses like this one! If you remember my November highlights post, you might remember that I've mentioned how I've recently finished a beginning fashion tailoring and sewing course with designer Stanka Zovko.

I promised to show you the dress I made for my course 'graduation'. At the end of this lovely sewing course, you get to choose not only what you're going to make, but also the material and the pattern.  The sewing pattern is typically chosen from one of the sewing magazines this designer has …

How To Style Animal Print? + An Autumnal Fairy Tale at Ethno Village Near Medugorje

With winter at our doorstep, I think it's important to make the most out of the left over autumn days. With that in mind, my husband and I payed another visit to our favourite (still not officially opened!) ethno village in vicinity of Medugorje. I wrote about this eco/ethno village a number of times, so if you want to know more (or just see more photographs) feel free to check out my old posts herehereherehere and here.  Autumn is Herzegovina is always gorgeous, and this year hasn't been an exception. We had some sudden weather changes and drastic changes of temperature, but I would still describe this autumn as a beautiful one. The Sunday this photographs were taken on was rather gorgeous, so I'm certainly glad we went on this little trip. I know I'm repeating myself, but I do cherish moments like this. Every time I step into this little village, I feel as if the time has stopped or rather like I have just travelled in time. It's such a charming place! I h…
