Have you started to think about the spring? I certainly have despite the fact that this morning it was so cold that I though my brain will freeze or something, I regretted not wearing a hat. Soon you'll see some fashion illustrations inspired by the spring.

 Jeste li počele razmišljati o proljeću? Tko nije? Ja sigurno jesam, iako je jutros bilo toliko hladno da sam požalila što nisam ponijela šešir (imala sam osjećaj da će mi mozak smrznuti), a uskoro ćete vidjeti i neke modne ilustracije nadahnute proljećem.

    Dear Ivana, this is interesting, because I thought it would take much more time until you finished such a wonderful illustration! I love the result and I would be happy if I had such a mint coat in my closet :)

    Yes, I´m thinking about spring. At the moment we have really warm days here in Bavaria and because my husband and I have vacation this week we hiked today in the Alps. It was beautiful and very warm. Wish you that it will get warmer in your region, too.

 Welcome Spring! We welcome thy beauty! We also fear thy evil twin- The Spring Fatigue. Like in a telenovela, one rarely comes without the other. Both are inevitable, so let's just welcome the first and try to manage the other until it perishes (in a slow motion) in a fatal car accident. That's what always happened in the Latin soap operas (i.e telenovelas) that were all the rave when I was a kid (and that are the reason why many Croatian people have a pretty good passive understanding of Spanish without even learning it in school, but I digress).  My point is that the beautiful Spring often comes accompanied with Spring Fatigue that can range from mild tiredness to extreme exhaustion. It was over 40 degrees Celsius (that's over 100 Fahrenheit) when these photographs were taken. Seriously! I'm obviously a desert type when I'm able to enjoy being out at midday in a city that is practically an oven. If you did not know Mostar city is surrounded by mountains and hills which pretty much turns it into an urban oven. Yes, this city is a champion of unbelievably high temperatures during the Summer. So, this hat was as much a necessity as a fashion statement. Wearing a hat when temperature is over 100 Fahrenheit is a sound idea, believe me. Speaking of Fahrenheits,  have you read  Fahrenheit 451  by Ray Bradbury? You should, you know, it really is a brilliant dystopian novel. I find it uncanny how much some writers were able to guess the future, down to minute details.   Hello readers and fellow bloggers!  Welcome Spring. What does Spring means to you?  To me, it means a great many things. This year, it meant a possibility of a longer spring break. As the school I'm currently teaching in is an International one, obviously this means different cultures and nationalities. We try to organize our school breaks in a way to meet everyone's cultural needs. This year we opted for a shorter winter break in favour of a longer spring one. Therefore, I have finally found some time for blogging.  I must say it's nice being able to finally visit your blogs and all. Painting of the day (A Lioness) / Slika dana (Lavica)

When I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was walk to the kitchen. Naturally, I was there to make coffee (can’t start a day without it) but while I was at it, I decided to also make a nice cup of warm chocolate. I figured that one can’t have too many warm drinks when the weather is misbehaving. Plus, I wanted something to drink right away, and because preparing coffee my style takes a while (wouldn’t be caught dead drinking instant coffee;)) I opted for warm chocolate first and it was nice but I have to remember to make my own instant coffee again, I’m sure that stuff they sell in shops are full of all kinds of unhealthy stuff. Speaking of health, I have had a cold for a week now, my throat is still sore and my vocal cords are in pitiful state.  I'm not a big fan of my voice right now, but most people seem to like it. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself!
