    Original and creative sketch, I also live those bright colors you have chosen for this drawing. I'm sure with time and more practice the result will be much better and professional. You have a seed of talent inside of you.

 Hello dear readers/ fellow bloggers! In this post, I'll share two summer outfits I wore for visiting Trogir town. During one of these two visits, I also attended an art exhibition by Slava Raškaj, considered one of the best Croatian watercolours of the last century. It was such a joy and privilege to see her aquarelles in person. Slava Raškaj is a name practically everyone in Croatia knows, because many schools are named after her. So, growing up, it was a name I kept hearing. However, neither did I  know about this Slava exhibition in Trogir, nor was that the reason for my visit. I happened on it by pure chance during one of my visits.  Lucky me! However, I've always admired Slava Raškaj and wanted to see her works in person. Thank you Trogir town for organizing this (free) exhibition! I have visited Trogir a few times this Summer actually. Hello everyone and h appy hump day!   How are you doing? I hope you had a lovely week so far. It's been a while since my last Inspired by post, hasn't it? One special dress (outfit post) / Jedna posebna haljina (odjevna objava)

Dress/Haljina: Mak, watch/sat: vintage, rest/ostalo: no name, nije markirano Once again I borrowed this  Mak  dress from my mother. Did I style it well? You can see my previous post ( oufit from last summer featuring this dress)  here . If you are wondering about the location, the photographs were taken in front of  friars monastery in Trstenik, Split. Merry Christmas from Split city (a maxi dress and startas sneakers) / Sretan Božić iz Splita (duga haljina i startas tenisice)

Merry Christmas if you are celebrating it! Wearing a summer beach dress for a Christmas day? If you live in a warm climate, why not? I've perfected wearing Summer clothes in Winter. Long live the layering. As you may notice, I'm still earth bound (no sky heels for now), that is unable to wear anything but sneakers....and startas sneakers are the best choice because they're light. So, that is another reason why I'm grateful for this warm weather you can see on these photographs. Actually, I'm celebrating Christmas in Mostar (where it is also warm and sunny),  not Split but for now I'm leaving you with images of sunny Split. THE LONG PETAL OF THE SEA, A NOVEL BY ISABEL ALLENDE

Hello readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I shall review The Long Petal of the Sea, a novel by Chilean-American writer Isabel Allende. I bought this second hand copy in Split this Summer, and read it in a heartbeat.  Published in 2019, A Long Petal of the Sea is one of Allende's more recent works.  Allende herself describes it in her Preface as 'a story of displacement and love, of sorrow and hope, of a couple trying to find their place in a world torn apart by violence'. The novel is told by fictional characters but it features real historical figures such as Pablo Neruda whose poetical description of Chile the author borrowed for the title of the novel. Yes, it was Neruda who described Chile as the long petal of the sea. Despite being a minor character, the famous Novel winning poet at times plays a key part in the novel's plot, from organizing the flight of Spanish refuges to embodying Chile's national spirit.  Moreover,  The Long Petal of the Sea,  ...
