How to make a collar necklace? / Kako napraviti ogrlicu u obliku ovratnika?

For this DIY you will need:

1. fabric (in this case black)
2.  catalog kind of paper
3. needle and thread (preferably in different colours)
4. one button
5.elastic band
6.  safety pin (you will only need safety pin if the elastic proves to be too short as has happened to me)

I didn't take photographs while I was making this necklace simply having been a spur of the moment thing (and  my first time doing it) so I cannot show you photos of the making process yet. What I can do,  however, is describe the process in a few easy steps and hopefully photographs will not be necessary.

Step No.1.

Cutting out the shape you want

What I have done is used a Vichy catalog (but any kind of thick paper should do the trick, the important thing is that it is water proof and bendable... and not too thick because you will need to sew trough it) in semi circles. Then I have used that paper cut out to cut out the black fabric in the same shape and size.

Step No. 2

Sew the paper cut out in the fabric using thread in different colours. When you finish, connect the two semicircles with one button.  Finish it by sewing by some elastic band (or any kind of material, you can get creative) in the end. (The elastic band that I have used proved to be too short so I had to cut it in two and put a safety pin but you can also sew a button or whatever if you think that will look better.)

Kako napraviti ogrlicu u obliku ovratnika?

Što vam je potrebno:
1. (crna) tkanina
2. igla i konac u različitim bojama
3. jedno dugme

As I mentioned in one of my last post, I'm already thinking about what I might wear for all those festive occasions that are coming up. Autumn and Winter both have its fair share of festivities. Our social calendar can be quite busy this time of year with all the meetings, events, festivities, celebrations, family and work parties. Some of these social occasions come with a black tie dress code, so I decided to prepare some outfit ideas.  A bit of formal wear inspiration for  my readers. All of these photographs were taken the day before yesterday. We're enjoying a rather warm Autumn in Herzegovina but these outfits I'm sharing can be easily be adapted for colder weather. Just throw a warm coat or a blazer over them, and that would be that.  That's what I plan to do once it gets colder. Anyhow, all four dresses I'll be sharing with you today are from Rosegal. This is my second collaboration with this site, if you want you can have a look at my first one here. With…

Fashion Illustration Friday: Inspired by Colours of Autum

Time for another Fashion Illustration Friday talk. We'll talk autumn and share some new autumn inspired fashion illustrations & outfits. Autumn is a season with one of the most beautiful colour palettes. Just think about all those gorgeous gold and red leaves! Even the fruits of Autumn are visually stunning, for example the delicious and juicy fruits such as pomegranates and grapes. With so much to appeal to our senses, it's hard not to be appreciative of autumn. It is a stunning season indeed, so small wonder I was inspired to create some fashion art. Scroll down to see and read more.

Besides enjoying the colours of autumn, I sure love wearing colour in autumn, and that's what I'll write about today. Whether we're talking about accessories or clothes, a bit of colour can take us a long way. Here are some illustrated & photographed colour combos to consider.

Is it too early to start reaching for those festive …

How To Style A Grey Sweater Dress in Autumn? Outfit Proposal of the Day

I was just thinking how grey doesn't always get the credit it deserves. Sure, there are many enthusiasts of the colour grey, but even among those of us who like grey, there are many lessons to be learned. One of the mistakes we make when styling grey items is to forget that grey does come in so many shades. It's kind of obvious, but it's easy to focus on the classical grey tones and forget to explore this colour in all its complexity. Not to mention that styling the lighter shades of grey can be a great way to refresh our autumn/winter wardrobe. Sometimes it does seem to me that grey is one of the most underestimated colours out there. However, that all might change as grey has been trending a lot lately. For example, you can have a look at some of my runaways picks bellow.
Neutral outfits composed of lighter shades are a great way to stay away from the typically dark outfit combos. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with dark …
