June has been an interesting month with lots of crazy weather changes, but at least we were not bored...
Lipanj je bio zanimljivi mjesec sa puno ludih promjena vremena, ali barem nam nije bilo dosadno.

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. VISIT GORANCI ( BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA) WITH IVANA!

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, we shall once again explore Goranci, a small village that is around 700 meters above sea level.  Located on a nearby hill in immediate vicinity of Mostar, and surrounded by mountain ranges, it offers stunning views. I have been a regular visitor for year and I never get tired of it. I absolutely love Goranci and I plan to remain a regular visitor. What is there not to love?  We went to Goranci for some weekend cold day hiking. You know how I feel about hiking and cold sunny days. There's nothing better! As long as the sun is shining and you dress warmly, hiking can be extremely enjoyable and comfortable even in the colder weather. It was quite cold that day. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). In this post, I shall review the first season of the TV show Dune: The Prophecy .  This is an American TV show developed by women (Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapker), directed mostly by a woman (Anna Foerster)  and focusing on women, more precisely on the origins of secretive The Bene Gessirit all female group, also known as - The Sisterhood.  Originally created by Frank Herbert's and featured in   Dune  (the best selling science fiction novel of all times) ,  the sisterhood has continued to fascinate both readers of the books and viewers of the adaptations. WIWT: RED FLORAL BLOUSE, OZZ PANTS AND STARTAS SNEAKERS

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. Today we'll do a simple outfit post. What I wore today? Well, I wore three outfits actually (you'll see the other two soon enough).  This is what I was wearing this morning while we were driving through Neretva canon on our way back to Mostar. A travelling outfit, if you will. Once again, I shopped my closet for this outfit. I mixed and matched two sets to create this outfit. The red floral blouse is from a vintage floral set (worn here ), the tea green pants are from Ozz brand set (previously worn as a part of a set here  here ) and the striped sneakers are from iconic Croatian brand Startas (worn previously here ).  It was a very comfortable outfit, perfect for travelling! Not that I put much thought into it. To be perfectly honest, this was the only clean pair of clothes I had after spending six days in a medical and spa hotel (where I accompanied my husband who was sent there by his doctor).
