shopping ban (today's outfit)/( današnja odjevna kombinacija )zabrana kupovine

About a year ago I read an article in German Vogue  about girls who decided to give up shopping for a year. I'm not exactly fluent in German but I understood why they did and long story short I decided to do it too (at least for the spring). Limitation can make us more creative. I'll keep you posted:)Btw Thank you for your kind wishes, I still feel a bit under the weather but I can't stand being indoors any more. xoxo

Pozdrav

  30. Hello Ivana,

you know that i come from Germany, but unfortunately i dont read the article.

I cant image, that i dont go shopping for a year. I would miss some great new fashion styles and clothings.

Wow, you hold on during spring - dont you miss to buy clothings, shoes, handbags,...?

    Bye.

    1. I didn't mind this shopping bag. I only did it for one Spring and Summer and it a good way to make me use my clothes in a better way. Sometimes when we don't buy new things, we appreciate the old ones better....but I'm not ready to completely give up shopping.

    2. "Sometimes when we don't buy new things, we appreciate the old ones better...." - you´re absolutely right. Clothings in our closets are even great. "Old" means not "... i dont wear it anymore", it give us the opportunity for some new fashion combos - a little bit of "Mixery-Suff".

However, i want to miss buy new clothes - specially to buy this for cheap money..:-)

      Bye.

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

HOW TO STYLE RED CLOTHING ITEMS FOR WINTER?

A few posts ago (yes, bloggers calculate time in post activity), I wrote about red accessories for winter but I also wanted to write about red clothing items you can wear this time of year. In fact, I was planning to write a big post about wearing red in winter but I realized that I need to split it in two because it was too long. Apparently, I have a lot to say about why wearing red in winter is a good idea. So, today I'll basically post the part two of my red in winter fashion musings. Red is a bold, energetic and dramatic colour. If you ask me, wearing red is a great way to invoke good luck in our new year. You can pair red with neutral colours to tone it down or with vibrant ones to make your outfits even more noticeable. Lunar Year festivities are a perfect time to embrace the red clothing items. Moreover, Valentine's Day is not too far off either. If you're looking for some winter red outfit inspiration, you have come to the right place. HOW TO WEAR RED IN WINTER?   My…

READING UPDATE: KAZUO ISHIGURO, THE BURIED GIANT AND MORE

Hello dear readers, how's life treating you? It's time for another reading update on my blog. You guys know that I'm a bookworm and a reading addict, right? Today I have a couple of book reviews to share with you. I'll be reviewing four books (more precisely: two novels and two short story collections). It's a mixed crowd of writers that I'm reviewing, from Nobel winning Kazuo Ishiguro to some other well known authors. So, let's get started. Scroll down to read my opinion of these books.  THE BURIED GIANT, A NOVEL BY KAZUO ISHIGURO 5/5 Having seen a fascinating interview with mr. Ishiguro about this very book, I had high expectations for The Buried Giant. I'm happy to report that my expectations were fulfilled. Once again, Kazuo Ishiguro impressed me his subtle and beautiful writing. This novel is a masterpiece. The Buried Giant is very moving tale of an elderly couple in search for their lost past. Axl and Beatrix share a strong connection, but just lik…

10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily? Today we'll analyze Malena's style and see what we can learn from her. There is much to learn! Having analyzed looks that Monica wore in iconic Malena film, I…
