Ciao cari, come state? 
To tell you the truth, I haven't been feeling well these days. I caught a cold, had high fever and drank (perhaps) too much tea. It doesn't feel like the spring has come, it's still so cold.

Lipi moji, šta ima? Iskreno da kažem ne osjećam se baš najbolje. Prehladila sam se, imala temperaturu i ovih dana popila (možda) previše čaja. Ne čini mi se da je proljeće, još je hladno.

THE ISLAND OF THE MISSING TREES BY ELIF SHAFAK (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Bellucci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.   The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Bellucci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing).  There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. t-shirt dress (outfit post)/ majica haljina (odjevna kombinacija)

I don't have a t-shirt dress in my closet but I found a way to fix that...Moreover, it is  a way that doesn't involves shopping. Imagine that! I just wore a t-shirt over an old dress. You can do this two ways, by keeping the t-shirt the way it was or by tying it in a knot. I styled it both ways in these photographs. What do you say about it? Yes or no? Would you wore a tee like this? The photographs were taken last week in Split city (Trstenik and Zenta to be more precise). You can google these locations it if you want to find out more. This is another no make up, no hairdo post, but since it is practically Summer, that is in some way quite appropriate. Two ways to wear a scarf. Nothing revolutionary. If you want more inspiration, you will have to click this old  post  of mine (or this new one ). The first suggestion I'm throwing your way is just tying a scarf in a bow. Nice, simple and bound to give every outfit a feminine touch. Do you agree? The other way is to secure a scarf with a belt. You must have took notice of  'belted scarf' trend last year. I think we will be seeing it in the upcoming Autumn and Winter season as well. I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone and wear more black, but even when I choose an all black outfit, I feel a need for accessories that will be anything but.   Dva načina za nositi šal.
