Stylish even when it snows


Za ovu kombinaciju nadahnula sam se slavenskim folklornim nošnjama ( rubac i pletenice). Kod nas još nema snijega, ali evo nekih slika od prošle godine kad je Mostar doslovno bio zatrpan snijegom, a i moj rodni grad Split. Jedan i drugi bili su posve u neredu, ali ove godine biti ćemo spremniji.

My outfit was inspired by Slavic traditional dresses (hence the scarf and the braids).It is not snowing yet in Mostar but here are some photos of last year when there was so much snow that the town came to a standstill. The same thing happened to my hometown Split, but this year we'll be prepared:)






Do you have any advices on how to dress when it snows heavily? My only advice would be: dress warmly! and wear some sensible shoes.:)

Happiness is.... a soccer stadium that even a soccer hater must admire... Happiness is....four thousand years old sphinx that is soaking Split's sunshine and resting her pretty heard from riddles and questions....for she is no hurry, she has felt at home here ever since, almost two thousand years ago, a Roman emperor named Diocletian put her there..... Happiness is a city that is more than a city....a city that is opera and klapa, rock and serenades....the past and the future...happiness and sorrow....tourist hotspot and home to forty thousand unemployed. Podstrana (Croatia/ Hrvatska)

Today another post from Dalmatia (region in Croatia). I had already posted about Podstrana here . It is a settlement and municipaty located near Split (in fact only 8 km from this city). Podstrana has about 9000 residens. It is very popular with the tourists. Podstrana has been populated since the prehistoric days. The first people to settle there were  Ilyrians,  more specifically, an Ilyrian tribe called Pituntini. If you want to see what the appeal is, feel free to browse photographs. When I was there this Sunday, the rainy clouds fought battle with the sun...and this elemental stuggle created those silver shades that Impressionist painters were so crazy about.
