    Hello Ivana,

    looks like a simple post, but this is great stuff! These are litte nice pics!!!

    On the last pic, i can see that you wearing Heels for your daily shopping. I love that, cause this style shows always elegance. I know some friends of mine named this "Girlie-Stuff" and cant understand, why i put heels on, when i go shopping. I say then "...this is my style of feminity". And the next thing is: i LOVE wearing Heels!

    Can you drive your car in heels? I have always flat shoes in my car, so i can chance to a comfy pair of shoes - at least for driving a car.

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. THE BRUTALIST BEAUTY OF SPLIT SUNSET

Split is famous for its Unesco protected Old town that is basically a preserved ancient Roman palace, but there is more to Split then just its ancient part. As a lover of history, I often post about the old parts of Split. As a lover of architecture, I sometimes post about the parts of Split built in the seventies and eighties! If you have been following my blog for a while, you might have come across posts showcasing modern neighbourhoods such as Split 3  (with its University  Campus ),   Trstenik (with its signature skyscrapers) and Žnjan  (that is not restricted to the namesake beach but rather a whole neighbourhood). THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO 2024 MOVIE REVIEW

In this post, I'll share with you a review of  The Count of Monte Cristo.  I don't go to theatre/movies often. In fact, years have been known to pass without me seeing a film on the big screen. However, when I saw the poster for the new 2024  The Count of Monte Cristo movie, I knew I simply had to go.  I really wanted to see this film, and I didn't even read the reviews or watch the trailer for it. I wasn't even intimidated by the fact it is a three hours long. Afterall, it's based on a rather long novel, so I didn't expect it to be short.  Now, I usually review books on my blog, not movies. However, perhaps this film review won't come as a surprise to you. A FASHION ILLUSTRATION OF MYSELF: ACRYLIC PAINTS (STOBREČ)

Hello dear readers! In this post, I'll share three original fashion illustration of an outfit I wore to visit Stobreč (Croatia). While I was in Split, Croatia, I also paid Stobreč a short visit. Following my visit, I decided to illustrate the black and burgundy outfit I wore. Sometimes I illustrate my own outfits. Why not? That way I can have an actual illustrated version of my closet, not just a digital version on this little place to call my own. And to think I thought that digital closet from Clueless was the coolest thing? This is way cooler! I used acrylic paints on mixed media paper for these illustrations. Some would say that acrylic paints are not suitable for fashion illustration, but I have been breaking that rule ever since I started doing fashion illustrations years ago. 10 STYLE LESSONS LEARNED FROM MALENA/ MONICA BELLUCCI

With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily?
