On a sunny winter day.....Sunčanog zimskog dana....


 I've always loved braiding my hair. Now that braids (plaits) are trendy I have the prefect excuse to experiment with all kinds of hair styles that include braiding. This photos were taken a few years ago on a warm sunny day in Mostar (BiH).
Oduvijek sam voljela uplitati kosu u pletenice, a sada kada su pletenice popularne imam savršenu izliku za eksperimentiranje s različitim stilovima pletenja pletenica. Fotografije su uslikane prije par godina na jedan sunčani zimski dan u Mostaru.




Just because it si winter doesn't mean you should stop heaving fun! Wear a puffy warm jacket and go for a walk:)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. VISITING NATURE RESERVE HUTOVO BLATO IN A GREEN AND BLACK WINTER STYLING

Hello readers and fellow bloggers. Today I'm taking you with me on a winter walk through Hutovo blato, and let me warn you in advance, this post is going to be picture heavy. We visited Hutovo blato about a month ago on a sunny but mildly windy winter day.  Needless to say, I really enjoyed our visit. The start of the year was pretty rough for me, as it was for most people, one way or another. With summer being in full spring, I caught myself thinking about iconic summer outfits. Do you know what came to my mind? Costumes/outfits worn by Monica Belluci when she played Malena Scordia in an iconic Italian movie set on Sicily.  The costumes for that movie were designed by an acclaimed Italian costume designer Maurizio Millenotti and he outdone himself! Seeing that Malena is a historical movie, Maurizio choose quite timeless outfits and cuts that will ever go out of style. That fact makes Malena movie the perfect place to look for inspiration! Moreover, I feel that Monica Belluci's personal style is quite similar to Malena's (i.e. to the style of the character she is playing). There is definitely a Mediterranean lady feel about Malena/Monica Bellucci. What says summer better than Mediterranean and Sicily? READING MAUPASSANT, WEARING OZZ (BOOK REVIEW AND OUTFIT POST)

Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. This post is going is going to combine literature and fashion. One could say that's a pretty common combination on my blog. When I post my book reviews, I like to add in some fashion images as well.  In this post, I'll share a review for a few short story written by Maupassant, a French author. I'll also show you some cute outfits I wore, so let's get started.  I'm sharing two outfits today, both of them have a touch of metallic in them. One of them is a more romantic lilac outfit worn with a silver cropped top, while the other is an all black look completed with a vintage black vest with golden imitation pearls. I think the vintage vest really added something to that look. Similarly, the silver cropped top complemented the lilac dress and skirt pretty well.
