Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! In this post, I will share a new watercolour painting with you.  With the help of this painting, we shall (digitally) revisit Basina bay on island Hvar (Croatia). You know, I wasn't sure whether this post belongs to  TRAVEL WITH MY ART or   FRIDAY FASHION ILLUSTRATION  series. As you might know, Travel With My Art is a regular feature on my blog focused on my location and destination art. This feature enables me to share my paintings of places that inspire me. Friday Fashion Illustration is also a regular feature on my blog but it is (as the name implies)  more focused on my fashion related art and illustration. Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! How is life treating you? I didn't get much sleep last night, I'm still struggling with chronic pain. This year hasn't been too kind to me (so fat at least). All the more reason to focus on happy memories and joyful moments. One must find those little things in life one can enjoy. For example, the two of us enjoy making short trips and excursions in our area. Wonderful thing about Mostar , apart from it being an obviously gorgeous city, is the abundance of great destinations in immediate vicinity. It's absolutely amazing how many wonderful destinations are only half an hour drive again.  Last weekend we visited Međugorje (it's quite near Mostar ). We very much enjoyed our visit. Hello readers! How are you doing? I feel like this is going to be a year of rereading for me. That's how things are heading for now anyway. Today I will review A Brief Excursion , a novel by Croatian writer Antun Šoljan. Published in 1964 in magazine 'Forum', A Brief Excursion is Antun's second novel. This novel focuses on a  loosely connected group of people (who while visiting Istria in the sixties), decide to embark on an improvised excursion in search for long lost frescoes. They are lead by a charismatic character Roko, known for his restless and wandering spirit. Shortly after publication, this short novel was interpreted as an allegory for life under communistic regime. This caused issues for the author Antun Šoljan who was already on thin ice with the communist government because of the speech he gave at the anniversary of Croatian poet Matoš 's death.  I reread this novel two days ago and I'm certainly glad I did for I found new meanings in it.  Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers. In this post, I will share an all black outfit with you. I've shopped my closet for this outfit. When your wardrobe is composed of clothing items you love, dressing up is never a chore. It is easy to find new ways to combine the clothing items you're already familiar with and know how to use and wear.  The weather these days is sunny and (sometimes) windy. The wind can be quite strong here so layering is a must. I opted for faux fur accessories for extra warmth, wearing both faux fur leg warmers and a faux fur stole. I just now realized these two items have identical looking black faux fur. That's just a nice confidence,though. I bought these two faux fur items separately.
