10 WAYS TO WEAR A RED BLAZER FOR SPRING AND SUMMER

As much as I love a classical white or black blazer, there is something to be said about rocking a coloured blazer. In summer, it is somehow easier to wear colour. Great thing about blazers is that you can wear them all year around. A nice crayon blazer can be  a great way to accentuate your summer tan. Blazers were my 'go to' look this spring, and I'll probably wear them a lot this summer as well. Today I'll show you ten ways to wear a crayon red blazer for late spring and early summer. Where I'm from, the summer has already arrived, and I don't have that much need for layering, but I still like to have a blazer at hand for whose windy summer nights. If it is still fresh where you live, a blazer can be the perfect clothing item to transition into summer with.

1. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A VINTAGE DRESS

For the first outfit, I paired this red blazer with a vintage dress and heels. As for all the other outfits featuring a red blazer, they were all already featured on this little place of my own. This outfit was actually one of my wedding guest looks (I told you that I attended a lot of weddings this year). I have a lot of love for this black and silver vintage dress. It used to belong to my mother, and I think this dress looks lovely paired with this red blazer. What do you think?

2. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A DENIM SKIRT AND A WHITE BLOUSE

I already blogged about this outfit here. Denim always looks great paired with blazers. I think this outfit  is a pretty good way to pair a denim skirt with a blazer. I love denim because it dresses everything down. Do you like wearing denim with blazers? If yes, what is your favourite way to do it? 3. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A BLUE TURTLENECK AND NAVY PANTS

I often pair turtlenecks with blazers. I just love that look. A while back I found out that the first person to wear blazers with turtlenecks was a Croatian scientist. His wife got tired of ironing his shirts, so he started wearing turtlenecks with suits. Not long after that, his students and coworkers took to this dress. But I guess that I was really Steve Jobs who made this look iconic worldwide, wasn't he? Pairing pants with blazers is pretty obvious. If you want to rock a statement look for this summer, why not look for a blazer and a pair of pants in similar colour (or buy a suit). Coloured suits seem to be all the rave this summer. I don't have a red pair of pants, so I often pair this blazer with black or blue ones. 

4. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A GREY DRESS AND FAUX FUR

Pairing a blazer with a simple grey dress is such an easy but elegant way to put together an outfit. If the warmer seasons are still fresh where you live, thrown on a faux fur scarf (or some other scarf). It is amazing how much warmer one can feel with a well selected scarf. Moreover, scarves are such a great way to accessorize. I often wear scarves with blazers (as I'm sure you noticed).

A square neck dress can be such a sophisticated choice for the summer, especially one that comes in black. Pairing a LDB with a red blazer is an easy way to create an elegant and classy spring and summer look.There is something classic about the combination of red and black. Do you agree?

6. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A STRIPED TOP AND A PINK SKIRT

I don't save my blazers just for formal and dressed up looks. As I already showed, I like to wear my blazers in a casual way too, and this red one is no exception. Bellow you can see how I styled it with sneakers, a striped t-shirt and a pink skirt. I accessorized with a necklace I made myself back when I was a teenager. Do you ever pair your blazers with sneakers? Recently I paired another blazer with sneakers, remember that outfit? I personally think that coloured blazers look particularly fabulous paired with sneakers. It is always good to jazz up things a little. 

7. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A SEMI PLAID SKIRT

I love how this red blazer matches the red plaid details on this skirt (from a local brand Bellissima). If you opt for a coloured blazer, it is always good to check out your closet for items that come in a similar shade or have similar details. That way your outfits will look more put together. I love to play with colour, but as much as I love contrasting colours, I also enjoy creating the matching effect.

As I already said, pairing denim with a red blazer is a non brainer. Jeans are a practical item, and most of us don't give it up even during the summer months. When it comes to styling jeans in summer, I recommend opting for cropped ones. If you're really hot, you can always wear shorts. 

10. RED BLAZER WORN WITH A CHERRY PRINT DRESS

I really how the colour of this red cherry dress matches this red blazer. As I already said, matching the colour of your blazer with other items can help you achieved a more put together look. I definitely have a soft spot for printed dresses and cherry print is so adorable. This was such an easy summer look to put together. I finished this combo with a Croatian folkore bag and a pair of olive shoes. It was such a comfy but at the same time feminine and chic outfit.
