Why You Should Consider Wearing Dresses in Summertime? (Fashion Mia selection)

Yesterday we have talked about dresses, and today we're going to talk about dresses again. Why not? As you know, I'm a big fan of dresses. I think they're one of the most versatile clothing items out there. After all, there are so many ways one can wear dresses, aren't they? You can wear them over jeans or leggings. You can layer dresses one over another or tuck them in your skirts. I, for one, often wear dresses like that, by wearing a skirt over them. I just tucked a dress in my skirt, that way I'm can often be sure there are no 'lines' showing. Another plus of doing that is that you don't have to worry about wearing an under-dress. Now, thank I think of it, my habit of wearing skirts over dresses is probably why I don't own that many tops and blouses.

Another benefit of wearing dressing is that they make packing more easy. They are typically light, especially summer dresses. A great way to save up on packing space. By packing for example, a few dress and skirts, you can save up on your luggage space. Dresses come in a great variety of style, so whatever your personal style might be, be it rocker chic, business elegance, vintage beauty or eclectic, there is probably a dress for you out there. I do think everyone should give dresses a try. They can be worn in every style possible, even tomboys can pull them of.

 Fashion dresses

When I think of summer clothing and women's fashion, my mind immediately thinks of dresses. Gowns and dresses are simply ideal for social occasions (birthdays, weddings, graduation celebrations), formal events (business meetings) and parties of any kind. Even if you don't typically wear dresses, you should consider giving them a try. In summer, we are all looking for clothing that will make us feel fresh and remain comfortable on the hottest of day. I do think that every woman should have at least one dress in her closet.  At FashionMia you can find some lovely bodycon dresses online. These kind of dresses are perfect for a variety of occasions, from date nights to drinks with friends.

Thank you for reading! Have a nice day!

  2. You are right with each single point about dresses, dear Ivan! As you I like it to wear dresses although I have to admit I very seldom use dresses as tops :) But it is great and makes each dress even more versatile and it shows again your cleverness that you are doing this! Personally, I'm often surprised when I recognise that less women are wearing in summer dresses ... for me a summer without dress wouldn't be a summer :)

  10. You did a wonderful job of illustrating these outfits Ivana. I love dresses and agree that women should have at least one dress in their closet, unless they feel completely uncomfortable in a dress. Have you ever thought about sketching an entire collection to design?

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

KAFKA ON THE SHORE, A NOVEL BY HARUKI MURAKAMI (BOOK REVIEW & OUTFIT PROPOSAL)

Hello, my darlings! I will be sharing two things with you today: a book review and an outfit post. This cozy outfit proposal features two printed items: a printed scarf and a skirt. The bluish scarf was a gift from a friend and I like how it looks with this camel coat (another gifted item). The wool/silk printed skirt is old, a creation from fashion house Edi. You had a change of seeing this unique floral print on the blog here , here and here. Under the camel coat I have worn this white blouse and this red blazer.  I completed the outfit with a red beanie and high brown boots.  It has gotten colder in Croatia even on the shore. Speaking of the shore, Kafka on the Shore is the novel I will be reviewing today.
MURAKAMI, A WRITER THAT REMINDS ME OF A CAT
Murakami is a writer whom most readers either love or dislike. Options are rather divided when it comes to Murakami, some say he is genius, other claim all his novels are alike. Do you know of whom does Murakami reminds me? Of a cat! He…

AN AUTUMN OUTFIT AND A BOOK REVIEW (EAST WEST BY SALMAN RUSHDIE)

Hello darlings! It's suddenly gotten a lot colder here, but I still have one warm autumn styling proposal to share with you. I wore this cute neutral outfit while the sun was still shining bright. On that lovely sunny day, I decided to pair my white (authentic) folklore shirt with a striped mini, dark leggings and a dark green vest. I finished this look with my brown boots and a tartan belt. Besides this outfit, I will share another book review on my blog today. East West by Salman Rushdie also happens to falls into category of magic realism. I'm no stranger to Salman Rushdie,  I read Midnight's children a while back and I started but never finished Satanic Verses. This is the first time I read his short stories, though.  I really liked this collection and I can't wait to tell you all about it.

THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ BY L.FRANK BAUM (BOOK REVIEW)

Today I'll review a true classic of children's literature: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a book by L. Frank Baum. I have read this book fairly recently, so it is still fresh in my mind. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I actually enjoyed it a lot, so my book review is also  a book recommendation.  This classic of children literature is such a well rounded tale. You can read The  Wonderful Wizard of Oz for free on the pages of project Gutenberg here (that's also the source for the quotes I'm going to use).

First, a few words from the author himself:  Folklore, legends, myths and fairy tales have followed childhood through the ages, for every healthy youngster has a wholesome and instinctive love for stories fantastic, marvelous and manifestly unreal. The winged fairies of Grimm and Andersen have brought more happiness to childish hearts than all other human creations.Yet the old time fairy tale, having served for generations, m…
