VRBOSKA ON ISLAND HVAR IN AUTUMN

Image
Hello there! As some of you may know, I'm currently enjoying Autumn in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, I actually greeted the change of season on island Hvar. I was there until fairly recently, so let me show you the colours of Autumn in Vrboska on island Hvar. Do you remember  my last post about Vrboska ?  Today I'll talk a bit about some of the things you can see and do in Vrboska on island Hvar. This charming little village has had quite an interesting history. Moreover, the nature surrounding it is simply gorgeous. WHAT TO SEE AND DO IN VRBOSKA IN AUTUMN?  BEACH SOLINE & BEACH KAMENJERA- IDEAL AREAS FOR HIKING AND SUNBATHING Our first destination in Vrboska is beach Soline. Throughout my stay on island Hvar, I often visited this beach. In the colder months it is a great destination because it is so abundant in sunshine. Plus, there are lovely hiking paths in the vicinity. You can walk all the way to Vrboska village as well or enjoy a view of Jelsa from the distan...

WIW TODAY (ROMANCA, MOSTAR)

Image
Hello there, let me show you what I have worn today. My husband snapped these images during our coffee break at restaurant Romanca near Mostar (neither a sponsored link nor a collaboration, I'm a regular visitor) at around noon. I had my espresso standing up so I could enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful surrounds fully. It was a great little break. I have spent most of the day in stores (something I normally hate but sometimes can't be avoided), as we were hunting for a new steam cleaner (seems like a good investment considering you know what) and some other items we need for our home. We ave managed to find the steam cleaner and I tried it out today- it seems alright. The day was gloriously warm and sunny. I took a coat with me just in case, but it was so warn I left it in the car. This grey blazer was enough to keep me warm. The climate in Herzegovina is simply amazing. Sunny and warm days are abundant. Plus, this region is truly stunning. THE STORY OF MY LOOK - DIY NECKLAC...

BOOK REVIEWS: WE OF THE FORSAKEN WORLD BY KIRAN BRAH AND HEART OF THE MATTER BY EMILY GIFFIN

Image
Hello there! Today I'm back with another reading update. We'll start with an author that is new to me: Kiran Brah. This writer actually reached out to me on Goodreads, offering to send me a free book in exchange for a review. I declined his offer and said I will buy his book myself- and I did that. While on the subject and before sharing my new book reviews, I'd like to say that I planned to write a bit about my experience with writers approaching me for a review but decided to write a separate article about it some time in the future. Long story short, I prefer to buy my own books for a variety of reasons, so I rejected the free book offer but still bought and reviewed this book because it sounded interesting. When it comes to Emily's book, I just borrowed it from the library.  The two novels I will reviewing today are by Kiran Brah and Emily Griffin. If you want to keep up with my reading, I also have a Goodreads account  (Ivana Books are Magic) where I upload most of...

A FISHING BOAT IN HVAR PORT (ACRYLIC PAINTING ON CANVAS)

Image
Today I'll keep things short and simple at this little digital place to call my own. I'm sharing my new acrylic painting with you. If you saw my art gallery at home post, you surely know that I have a passion for painting boats. This boat painting was inspired by an actual wooden traditional boat I saw in Hvar town during one of my last visits. I took a photograph of it so you can also see the photograph reference I used. Scroll down to read and see more. WORK IN PROGRESS- MAKING OF A PAINTING- HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO PAINT? THE STYLE- T...

ONE YEAR LIVING IN JELSA ON ISLAND HVAR: 5 OUTFITS

Image
It's more than a year since I moved to Jelsa on island Hvar. I took a last minute job offer and I definitely didn't regret my decision. It all went well despite the fact that this was a challenging year for everyone. While I was here, I worked full time and even manage some free lance work. Now, that my work contract is over, I'll be moving back to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Not before reflecting on my year in Jelsa on island Hvar, though! Today I'll show you five outfits I wore for exploring Jelsa on island Hvar.  There will probably be more posts from island Hvar to come.  Honestly, I have no idea how I find the time to blog sometimes, but somehow I always do. Maybe because I have such lovely readers who always leave me interesting comments. That definitely keeps me motivated to blog even after all this time and during busy or stressful periods of my life.  #1 MUSTRAD SWEATER WORN WITH NAVY FLARE PANTS AND LEOPARD HEELS I love this kind of easy but ch...
