Yesterday's post was kind of long, so today we'll be keeping it short. I'm sharing two illustrations that I already shared on my Instagram profile. The first one is inspired by Alexandra.  Alexandra might just be the first blogger I have ever drawn (either her or Lera , I'm not quite sure which one was first). Anyway, Alexandra used to have a fashion blog. I have illustrated her more than once ( for example here ). The second drawing is also of someone I follow on Instagram. I did this one because this lady asked me to draw her, I'm not sure what her name is, but there is her insta account  if you want to check it out. I do fulfil drawing requests sometimes. If I have the time, why not? BTW I have been practicing drawing fur. It is not easy, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Why is it that today of all days, I had this urge to pick up Macbeth again? Perhaps to fight off my superstition. Not about the play itself, I'm not inside of a theatre (nor was I when these photos were taken) so the famous Macbeth course doesn't apply here. You, the reader of this blog, are probably not inside of a theatre either, but if you are, I leave it to you to decide will you or not believe in the Scottish curse. No it is not about Macbeth, my superstition hasn't anything to do with this play. What is it about then? I suppose that one can find explanation for everything, if one thinks long enough. I think I understand why I had the need to pick up this play after all. To reminded myself that not all is set in stone. To remind myself that fate is what we make of it. For me 2016 was truly the year of the book. I've always loved reading, but this year gave a new vitality to my passion. I discovered a number of new writers. I didn't find the time to write about all of them on this little place of mine, but you can count on them coming up sooner or later in some of my posts. I can't honestly say that 2016 was all that good to me,  but at least when it comes to reading, it was a very good year. To honour this long lasting passion of mine, I prepared a little selection of book reviews published on this blog.
