Why is fashion often a dirty world? / Zašto je moda često prljava riječ?

Image
Dear readers, what do we talk about when we talk about fashion? Is fashion a serious topic to be discussed? Is a worthy topic? Is fashion a worthy occupation? Should we pride ourselves in our interest to fashion or be ashamed of it?  Is fashion becoming a dirty world? Is not caring about fashion something that makes one relatable? If yes, why so?  Is fashion a form of art or a trivial interest? Is fashion shallow and vulgar? If yes, why so?  Why this negative perception of fashion? Why is it that fashion is something that is not supposed to be debated among serious or even decent people? Why it is not something that most of people would consider as a serious job choice? Is it because we think it is unapproachable or because we're kind of ashamed of wanting to work in fashion? Is there something wrong with liking fashion? Or why are we so often ashamed of our interest in fashion? If we admit that we like it, we often get this feeling of forbidden pleasure.  Why is fa...

Book recommendation (and review) of the day / Preporuka knjige ( i ogled) dana : Pavao Pavličić, Melem

Today we're going to talk about Melem, a novel by Pavao Pavlichich. This Croatian writer has (so far) published 95 books (most of them are novels), so he must be doing something right when it comes to writing. His works have been translated to German, French, Czech,  Slovakian, Slovenian, Rumanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Danish language.  Pavao, for me, is one of those authors whose works you're certain you will like even before you start reading them. I always end up liking his novels. Nevertheless, I must admit that his novels don't move me as deeply as works by some other Croatian writers. That being said, I do admire his prociency as a writer and the abudance of his writing imagination.

How to style flare sleeves? (first Autumn outfit)/ Kako nositi široke rukave? (Prva jesenska kombinacija)

Image
We're back in Mostar. The question of the day is how to style flare sleeves. Blouses, shirts and tops with flare sleeves are growing in popularity. Now that the Autumn has arrived, this type of flared long sleeves might be just what we need to bright up our days a little. Everyone loves a little flare. So, how should we go about it? How to style flare sleeves for every day? When it comes to every day wear, I always recommend denim. Pairing a flared sleeved blouse with a denim skirt will give a casual note to your outfit. If you want to make the outfit a bit more feminine, I recommend wearing heels. I chose my DIY pom pom sandals with high heels. How do you like this look? The location is, as I said Mostar. In fact, I already talked about this bridge and location in this post  so no need to repeat myself.  P.S. I cut my hair in a long bob but since my hair grows so fast it already grew out a bit. Evo nas opet u Mostaru. Pitanje dana je kako nositi široke rukave. Bl...
