DIY projects Dress: no name, necklace: made by me, belt: made by me, bracelet:  Serena Kuhl  , tights: Jadran, heels: no name+ DIY All of you that follow by blog have probably noticed how much I enjoy DIY projects. Not only when it comes to clothes, but pretty much applied to anything else. To know that I can make something by myself makes me happy just as this 'little place to call my own' does. Today I'm showing you an outfit with two DIY features. One is a green necklace you already had a chance of seeing here  and the other one is the pair of shoes on which I have drawn circles (because I love patterns and hence shoes that have them) The floral dress I'm wearing you already had a change of seeing in an outfit post   here and here and here . The dress itself has proved itself to be quite practical, it requires no ironing and can be worn in all seasons (if you layer it properly). Plus I'm really happy because I have bought it two sized b...

a drawning (pencil) and meditations / crtež (olovka) i razmišljanja

Image
pencil / olovka * The drawning is fairly recent and for some reason I find this face really comforting . I like to think of myself as someone who understands that the world is not black and white. The older I get, the more complex and complicated this society we live in seems to be. I try not to judge too harshly and to always put things in prospective. Life has taught me that things are often not what they seem. Therefore, I would describe myself as someone who is cautious when it comes to labeling things and people. That wouldn't be an entirely correct description I'm adraid.  You see, I was proven wrong on a more than a few instances when I had realized that I'm not as open minded as I believed myself to be. For instance, recently I've read a novel The Host by Stephenie Meyer . I always thought of her as someone who isn't a 'real author' and I remember laughing when I had read mean comments about her by Stephen Hawking and the like (all this b...

outfits of the week/ odjevne kombinacije tjedna

Image
Another Sunday, another selection of outfits that have caught my eye. It's 9 am and I feel absolutely exhausted. On the other hand, the day looks promising and sunny. Maybe I manage to find/reclaim my mojo. Happy birthday to Francesca once again...and join in Sacramento's share in style if you can! ( I would if I could) Još jedna nedjelja, još jedan izbor odjevnih kombinacija koje su mi zapale za oko. Devet je sati i osjećam se posve iscrpljeno. No, dan izgleda obećavajuće i sunčano.

Mostar in the summer 5.6 (photography/ fotografija)

Image
It was in Split, that I've felt that the summer was here. Sitting on my balcony I suddenly felt a familiar sensation. It took me a moment to analyze the effect on my senses...the smell in the air and the warmness that seemed to gently surround me... filling me with a sense of calmness...a sensation very much resembling happiness. Summer. By the time I got in Mostar I was pretty sure of its arrival...The heat left me with no doubts. Without the calming and cooling effect of the sea, the heat of the sun and the warmth of Mediterranean climate seemed almost too much. When I first arrived in Mostar, they told me that the weather forecast in the summer is never true. Everything above 40 C would require them to call for an emergency...so they always report that the temperature is 40. It was not an exaggeration. During the summer the temperature is often higher...how much higher I'm not sure. Fortunately, the city is full of green areas and parks...many trees and shadowy places provi...

To be honest I was so stressed about so many things this May and my health wasn't that great, but let's concentrate on the positive things. There were many DIY projects in this month that I really enjoyed, I took a lot of photos and draw more than a few illustrations... at least I can say I certainly wasn't idle.  Bolje ikad n...
