Sea therapy at Zenta bay ( Split city) & outfit post

When I was a kid I loved strolling this area. Zenta marina (located in Split, Croatia) was one of my favourite places to escape to and daydream a little. I used to stroll this marina with my childhood friends and play a particular guessing game. We should pick a ship and try to calculate whether or not the police would manage to catch up with us (if we stole it, that is). Not that we were really considering stealing a boat. It was just harmless children's imagination at work. Thinking of different scenarios. We all knew quite a lot about ships, so it was almost like a mental exercise. Fun times.

I'm a big proponent of  sea therapy, vitamin sea and all that kind of talk. I do believe there is something healing (and possibly magical) about the sea. Whenever I'm in Split, I try to for a walk by the sea, even if it is just a very short walk. I think these photographs were taken on my first walk after Chron's resection operation, my stomach was still super swollen and painful but I was feeling pretty good because - sea therapy. I don't live by the sea anymore, so whenever I'm near sea, I try to make the most out of it.

I don't really have any special comments about my outfit, I think I may have already worn something quite similar to this one here on blog. It is a quite colourful styling, stripes on stripes plus another pattern. I took the coat off because it was quite warm. As you can probably know Autumn & Winters in Mediterranean countries tend to take it easy on us and we're fortunate to get plenty of sun even in colder months. However, the cold has finally arrived here as well. I was freezing this morning. All the more reasons to take this trip down the memory lane and remember (relive) this fine afternoon in Split city.

  2. I TOTALLY agree with you over the power of the sea. I feel do much better when I am by the sea, calmer, and my spirit soars and bubbles over with gratitude when I am near it. I didn't realise you had Crohns disease, that is a difficult thing yo live with! Actually, where we live now is closer to the sea so I hope that I will enjoy it more.
Your outfit is beautiful, I do remember and love that jumper! You look very serene here. Hope you are ok Ivana and thanks for all the kind comments! :-)

  8. Sea therapy sounds wonderful. As a matter of fact, I think any type of therapy where nature is involved can just do wonders for our minds and bodies alike. Looks like you had a marvelous outing!

  10. Oooh these pictures are full of peace, I just love visiting the sea and just staring in front of the water for hours... I could do that! Even I don't consider myself a beach lover but having the beach around me makes me feel so good. I grew up in the north of Mexico near by the ocean and now in Spain I still have the beach near, I don't go often but seeing it from top of the mountain makes me feel good :)

Best Ivana, love the happiness in these images!

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

My fashion illustration of the day + book review / Moja modna ilustracija dana + ogled knjige ( Le Diable au corps) 6.12.2016

This morning I read an amazing novel. Le Diable au corps (translated as The Devil In the Flesh) is a novel by Raymond Radiquet. Believe it or not, this was by first book by this French writer. I don't think I even heard of him before, which is odd, but well, it happens. In his time, Raymond was quite a celebrity and he is still considered as one of the important French writers of that period. Did I like this novel? Quite frankly, I loved it. I just couldn't put this novel down. I must have read it an hour or so. I got up a bit more earlier this morning so I actually had time to read it with my morning coffee (it is not a very long novel but still it is amazing how easy it was to find one's self glued to those pages). Perhaps I should make it a habit, getting up more early so I can read more.
Jutros sam pročitala divan roman. Đavo u tijelu  (naslov izvornika Le Diable au corps) je roman Raymonda Radiqueta. Vjerovali ili ne, ovo je moj prvi roman ovoga pisca. Mislim da nika…

Fashion illustrations of the day (markers)

Hello darlings! How are you? Can you believe that February ends today? This month has just flown by. I know it's the shortest month in the year but still. Today I'm going to share 3 fashion illustrations and sketches with you. The medium for all of them is marker on paper. I don't work with markers that often, but sometimes it is good to try something different. The fashion sketches I'm sharing are all about 3 colours: purple, green and red. Spring is in the air, so this is my reflection on all those trends for the new season. The first illustration shows a girl wearing a purple and blue jumpsuit. The second illustration features a girl wearing a transparent green dress with a top and a skirt under that dress. The third illustration shows two girls in red gowns.

February Recap (art & DIY projects & outfits)

I've put a lot of effort into blogging this February, I hope it shows. As far as the content goes, February was similar to January, mostly a mix of my illustrations and outfit posts (here). This month I was full of positing ideas and I managed to make many of them happen. I feel pretty good about that. The only thing I feel bad about is making my blog monolingual and not using my other languages, but translating texts from English to other languages takes such a long time. It is so much easier to just write in English.  Hopefully, I'll manage to change that and make my blog multilingual again. I need to organize my time better. Fingers crossed. For March I already have a few posts prepared. You can expect more art (mostly fashion illustrations) & outfit posts.

DIY PROJECTS
I shared two DIY projects in February, one about making a Barbie dress, the other was about how to paint a plant container. I don't have any DIY projects prepared for March, but I'm sure that I…
