summer nights (outfit post)/ ljetne noći (odjevna kombinacija)

Poem by  Croatian poet Antun Branko Šimić, translation by me:

and after that
on your knees between disaranged pillows
you think
of death

My child!
I will not soothe you with new kisses
and make you forget
I let the tears wash down
your pale face

you heart that beats desperately now
will become calm

when you meet your young friends
with dark shadows under your eyes
they will be wondering your young friends
but none of them
will find out
hidden in the corners of your eyes
a pale star

Don't cry my child: The winter night is full of blue
and my steps will be covered by deep white snow.

Antun Branko Šimić:

I poslije toga
na koljenima izmeđ razbacanih jastuka
na smrt

O dijete!
Ja neću da te novim poljupcima smirim
u zaborav
Puštam da ti blijedim licem suze teku

smirit će se tvoje srce
koje sada očajalo tuče

kad stupiš među svoje mlade druge
s dvije tamne sjenke ispod očiju
začudit će se tvoje mlade druge
Al nijedna neće moći da otkrije
skrivenu udno tvojih očiju
blijedu zvijezdu

Ne plači dijete: noć se plavi zimska
Za mojim stopama će zapadati bijel visok snijeg

All your comments mean a lot to me, even the criticism. Naravno da mi puno znači što ste uzeli vrijeme da nešto napišete, pa makar to bila i kritika. Per me le vostre parole sono sempre preziose anche quando si tratta di critiche.

What to wear for Valentine's day? I'm sure many ladies (and gentlemen) are asking themselves that question. I can't offer much personal experience on dressing up for Valentine's day when it comes to gentlemen, but I can tell you what I've learned as a lady. I can sum it up in two main points: find something that will make you feel special but make sure you're comfortable at the same time. After all, you want to feel special on this lovely day, don't you? Now, you can define special anyway you want to. Moreover, you must also consider one important fact and that is how you are going to celebrate Valentine's day. If you are celebrating it by going on a hike with your significant other, obviously you'll ditch the heels and wear hiking boots. However, that doesn't mean you can't wear a pretty dress! My advice is to take a moment and plan your Valentine's day outfit, that way it will surely feel special. There are other things to consider as…

Hello everyone and happy hump day!How are you doing? I hope you had a lovely week so far. It's been a while since my last Inspired by post, hasn't it? Well, today I'm back with another Inspired by... feature.  As some of you know, this is a regular feature on my blog that is all about illustrating bloggers I love and that inspire me. I always say it's one of my favourite features and it truly is. Over the years I had the chance to illustrate many many bloggers and it's always something I enjoy doing.
Moreover, I enjoy blog recommendations posts and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I discovered some wonderful bloggers through other bloggers and that's always lovely. This regular feature of mine is  not just about illustrating, it is also a kind of a blog recommendation post, because it gives me a chance to share bloggers I love with you. This time I have illustrated Natalia from @inthewriterscloset.  You can check out her blog here

Hello, darlings! I'm back two fashion illustration of one Zuhair Murad dress. This blue gown is so beautiful I simply had to illustrate it twice. It makes me think of the sea, the mermaids and basically the good old 'day at the beach' vibes. There is something so liberating about spending time by the ocean, isn't there? I grew up in a coastal town, and I do miss the sea terribly. However, that is surely not the only reason why I loved this dress so much. You know, when I think Zuhair Murad the first thing that comes to my mind is- haute couture. I feel he is one of those designers who were simply meant to make couture. Do you know what I mean? Murad's designs are always so exquisite, glam and elegant. I do like his ready-to-wear collections, but there is just something about his haute couture collections that makes them stand out in the sea of others.
I already illustrated a dress by this designer (here), and with the fashion week on its way, I opted for somethi…
