 Hello! In this post, I'll share a sustainable baby blue and leopard spring styling. A pale blue might not be the first choice with leopard, but why not? For me leopard print is sort of a classic. I actually love to pair it with all kinds of colours, from more vibrant ones to pales ones. In the past, I paired it with cobalt blue . I definitely do not feel that leopard should be worn only with neutral colours. I mean I paired leopard with white, grey and black clothing items often enough, but I love to pair it with something that pops, be it a coloured or pattern item. I do love patterns. SPRING IN SPLIT : 3 OUTFITS, ONE WORN FOR AN ART EXHIBITION

Hello! Spring break is officially over for me. Today was my second day back at work and I'm exhausted. The first day was fun, we've all happy to see one another again and all that, but the second day tired me out. The end of the week is far away, too. It takes time to get used to working from 7 to 5 again.  I divided my Spring break between my favourite three places and two countries:  island Hvar & Split (in Croatia) and Mostar (in Bosnia and Herzegovina). I visited an art exhibition and that was fun, too. The art exhibition was by Croatian illustrator Filip Čulić. The exhibition included his illustrations and comic book art. It's open until the end of April, so if you're in Split, check it out (more information here ). I love Split's city library. They always organize fun stuff. THE ISLAND OF THE MISSING TREES BY ELIF SHAFAK (BOOK REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION)

Today I shall review The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak. I was actually gifted this book. What a wonderful present it proved to be! Published in 2021, this postmodern  novel  follows two  story lines and uses framed narration.  The Island of Missing Trees  tells the life story of a Greek Turkish couple and their adolescent daughter.  This novel examines and explores a number of topics such as identity, migration, immigrant life, war trauma, memory, love and family. It's an ambitious novel that examines serious topics with due respect and sensitivity . I read it months ago, but I remember it vividly. Honestly, I cried a lot while reading this novel. It really moved me greatly. In fact, that is probably why it took me this long to finish this book review. I needed to emotionally process the story.   The Island of Missing Trees is   set in London and Cyprus. If you spent each day on a different Croatian island, it would take you three years to visit them all, as there are more than a 1, 200 islands in Croatia. I visted only one Croatian island this Summer and I'm currently trying to work out in my head how many of them I have visited in my lifetime. Alas, only a handful of them. Hello and welcome to another feature of 'Sights to see, Places to Visit'. It's been a while since my last one. Anyway, today I'm taking you to Ston, a small but fascinating city in vicinity of Dubrovnik. Ston is both a city and the name of a municipality that consists of a number of small villages, including Mali Ston ( meaning Little Ston) that is located in immediate vicinity. One could even say that it is connected with this city.  Ston is mainly known for its famous Walls, also known as the European Wall of China. Originally more than 7 km long, the Walls of Ston surround the Ston city and were (as you might guess) build to protect the city. Why the city needed so much protection, you might ask? Two words: Salt works.   That brings us to is second attraction which are the still operating salt works. OZZ STUDENTS' FASHION SHOW, MENTOR FASHION DESIGNER STANKA ZOVKO (MOSTAR INTERNATIONAL FAIR)

EN  Hello! Today I'm happy to share with you a wonderful fashion show I attended last Friday at Mostar International Fair. As you might remember, I regularly visit Mostar International Fair.  Anyhow, this time I was there to see and support a  really special fashion show. This fashion show showed creations from students who attended a fashion sewing and design course held by designer Stanka Zovko. If you remember, a few years back  I attended this sewing and design course myself. I was invited to present my creations as well. I couldn't participate myself this year due to previous engagements, but who knows maybe next year I'll get the chance. How amazing would it be to participate as a fashion designer? Hello, how are you doing? How is Autumn treating you? Unfortunately, I cannot say that I'm doing very well. I'm dealing with a lot of chronic pain due to Chron illness. Getting medical help in the pandemic is not easy. Those of you who have chronic and immune illnesses know what I'm talking about. Not an easy time for us. I might have to take a break from blogging (or blog less often) as I'm really exhausted from being in pain most of the time.   Moving onto brighter subjects. Today I will share two destinations perfect for strolling and two 'strolling friendly' outfits with you. Čapljina and Buna are great destinations for strolling around, walking and hiking.
