Skip to main content "Four days of fashion"- part 1/ Četiri dana mode na prvi dio

Today I want to talk about fashion event that took place in Zagreb (Croatia) and that I haven't personally attended so all the photographs from the fashion shows will be taken from the site fashion. hr. The fashion shows lasted for four days and  gave 16 designers the chance to present their work. If you want to learn more about it visit the site, they organized the event and covered it in detail.
In short here are my impressions:

Evo danas nešto (ukratko ) o četiri dana mode u organizaciji portala fashion hr. (odakle sam preuzela i fotografije jer sama nisam bila tamo), koja su pružila priliku 16 modnih kreatora da pokažu svoj rad.

U kratko evo mojih dojmova:

Ivica Klarić
Ivica Klarić ( the designer that ) had closed the fashion event this year. Having celebrating his ten years as a desgner this way,  (everyone seems to agree that) he was the icing on a cake.

Great collection and I love how he had chose not to go for the obvious footwear. The models are wearing Dr. Martens shoes and it gives the collection that rock vibe.

Odlična kolekcija i meni osobno jako se sviđa to što manekenke nose martensice, (a ne visoke pete) i to daje kolekciji rokerski prizvuk.

Fashion duo( Martina Vrdoljak Ranilović i Nataša Mihaljčišin)  I-gle never disappoints. Perhaps the most artistic of all the designers, they have created a collection that plays with light and shadow  showing femininity in unexcpeted ways. According to their site what inspired them for this Fall/Autum 2014 collection was geometry.

Modni dvojac ( Martina Vrdoljak Ranilović i Nataša Mihaljčišin) nikad vas neće razočarati.

Ana Maria Ricov
Bold cuts, colours and patterns- What is there not to like?

Odvažni krojevi, boje i  uzorci. Jednostavno ti se mora svidjeti.

 Jovana Marković
I must admit that I haven't heard of this designer before so  I had googled her. She joined this event as a part of regional colleboration. I found her site and it states that she is a fashion designer from Belgrade (Serbia), born in 1986. So young! I really liked her collection. The leather details are great. It's a bit edgy but still feminine (and I like the hairdos so much)

     Branka Donassy

Being a fan of midi, how can I not love this collection? The subtle and warm colours are also a win.

  1. Very amazing collection, looks so great.

If you know me, you know that I'll grab every opportunity to don on a statement dress. Life is to short to wear boring dresses. Nothing is quite as dramatic as a statement red dress, am I right or what? I was planning on walking miles that night, so I paired my red dress with comfy shoes, a straw bag and a pink blazer (just in case if it gets windy). I'm a fan of wearing dramatic dresses with comfy shoes, it makes them stand out more- and it can make the outfit not only more comfortable but also fresh. I wore this red midi dress with ruffled sleeves for a date night in Chinese restaurant Asia in Split (HERE- one of my favourite places to grab Chinese food in the city). I had a lovely time dinning there with my significant other. I pretty much always order the same thing: home made noodles with veggies and dumplings. As always, the food was yummy. This restaurant is located in my old neighbourhood Split 3 (address: street Poljička cesta 39 ) and I definitely recommend paying it…

Yesterday I tore myself away from the laptop to make a new fashion illustration. It's been a while since I made my last fashion illustration. I've been spending an insane amount of time behind the screen lately (who ever said blogging is easy, right?) working on new blog posts. At some point yesterday, I decided to get up, grab some watercolour pencils and paint a new fashion illustration. Friday Fashion Illustration is not the most regular feature on my blog, but this summer at least I can try to change that. While I was working on my new fashion illustration, I test drove watercolour pencils from Steadler  brand (not sponsored). It's been ages since I last used watercolour pencils. I'll wait for a bit before I give this brand a detailed review, but for now I can say that I quite liked these pencil watercolours. So far so good, you might say. Steadler brand claims to be sustainable and  sustainability is important to me. It is something that applies to every aspect o…

Hello, darlings! How have you been? I finally found some time to sit down and write this bookish post. I'll share some summer outfits with you today, but mostly I'll talk books. Yes, it's time for another reading and rereading update! Summer is such a perfect time to read, isn't it? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love to read all year around, but I still see summer as the ideal reading time. I wonder why is it so? Maybe it is somewhat on a subconscious level, seeing all those images of people reading on the beach.  Is it because summer is the traditional 'reading time' for many people? Is it because most people go on their vacation in the summer? Is it because most people use vacation time to catch up on reading? Is it the bookworm in me getting excited getting excited about making the most out of the 'reading season'? Is it the joy of reading in the open? It might be any or all of these things, but I do enjoy reading in summertime. How about you? D…
