Orange is the colour of warmth, some say. In the colour palette, it is placed between red and yellow, two colours that are very dear to me. So, the fact that I'm fond of this colour is not surprising at all. As you can imagine, I was very happy when I found this lovely midi dress. I've been looking for a long sleeved midi dress for a while, so it's great that I finally found one- and in perfect colour.   The fact that it is from a local brand Bellissima makes it even better. I'm mentioning this brand because people often avoid local stores thinking they are expensive, but in reality they are often cheaper than high-street brands. Yes, you read that right. You don't have to buy all your clothes in Zara, H&M and other high-street brands. Not that I'm against high-street brands. I'm not.  I mean buy clothes in Zara if that is what you really want, but don't be afraid to explore different options. Never buy something just because someone else is doing...

Don't you just love those sunny winter day? What is there not to love? Another thing I love is- print mixing. A combo of checkered jacket and a striped bag...Now my print loving heart is content. I'll keep today's post shorter than usual- that would be all I have to say about this comfy winter outfit. Happy Epiphany! How do you celebrate it? Here is one of the reproductions I painted as a part of that art course I took last month. It depicts a frozen lake. The background is dominated by the mountains and the clouds. I do like the composition of this painting. I'm glad I chose to paint this one. Painting the forest was an interesting task. I think that it is supposed to be a painting of a landscape in late Autumn. The lake is frozen, but the leaves on trees are golden and red.  I spent a lot of time on these clouds (you can see the progress on Insta account here and here )  and in the end, I'm not quite satisfied with how they have turned out but well. The medium is oil on canvas. I love oil paints, but you already know that. The painting hangs on the wall in my home at the moment. I don't plan to frame it. I'm not sure what I will do it. Perhaps give it to somebody? I think it would make for a nice gift. Paintings of landscapes are usually a good neutral choice. That is all for...

This post is a continuation of this one . I planned to published it on 31th of December (that way it would follow the first book round up that was published on 30th), but  I had guests coming over for dinner and NYE celebration (last minute thing ) so I put it on hold and I'm publishing it now. Between these two posts, I think I managed to cover most of book reviews I did last year. I decided I won't include them all in this round up because it would just be too much. I didn't include any books reviews from my other blog either- much for the same reason. I think these two round ups are more than enough.
