My husband wanted to see the house my grandmother was born in, so my grandmother showed it to us. As you can see, the house is a ruin now, but even as a ruin, it has a certain charm to it. After seeing the house, we walked a bit and came back to the house my grandmother lives in now. You can see that house in the last photo. So, this was a nice chance to take and show you more photographs of Gdinj. I was wearing a very comfy outfit. It seems to me that this navy dress matches well with striped startas sneakers. This denim vest I embroideded myself always comes in handy and so does this light plastic bag.  Moj je muž želio vidjeti kuću u kojoj je moja baka rođena, pa nas je ona odvela tamo. Kao što možete vidjeti kuća je sada ruševina, ali čak i u takvom stanju, ima neki šarm. Nakon što smo vidjeli kuću, malo smo prošetali i vratili se natrag u kuću moje bake koju možete vidjeti na zadnjoj fotografiji.  Tako da je ovo bila dobra prilika da uslikam i da vam pokažem još foto...

We're back in Gdinj, i.e. my grandmother's village. Today I'm presenting you another necklace I made using faux leather. This one was really simple. All it took is cutting the faux leather in a shape you want, then sewing rhinestones to it and finally sewing an elastic band to the base of the necklace.  Hello! In this post, I'll share a book recommendation.  The Heart of a Woman   is a memoir by Maya Angelou. The events she describes in this book take place between 1957 and 1962 and in that sense this book is a continuation of her previous memoirs.   I do admire her courage when it comes to blending literature with autobiography. It is not an easy task and only a few have really gotten away with it. To narrate one's life, any period of it, in such an intimate way demands great courage, but turning that narration into a literature takes a kind of discipline and self restraint only great writers have, thought people generally don't realize how hard writing on this level really is.  Years ago, I found a quote by Maya that really moved me but instead of looking her up immediately, I decided to wait. Two ways to wear a scarf. Nothing revolutionary. If you want more inspiration, you will have to click this old  post  of mine (or this new one ). The first suggestion I'm throwing your way is just tying a scarf in a bow. Nice, simple and bound to give every outfit a feminine touch. Do you agree? The other way is to secure a scarf with a belt. You must have took notice of  'belted scarf' trend last year. I think we will be seeing it in the upcoming Autumn and Winter season as well.
