VISIT MALINSKA ON ISLAND KRK WITH ME (...AND SEE WHERE I LIVED FOR TWO MONTHS!)

Image
Hello dear readers! Today I'm taking you to Malinska on island Krk.  This charming little place was my home for two months. I must be destined to live in beautiful places, don't I?  One of these days I have to put together a post with all the places I lived in. Life seems to move me from one phenomenally beautiful location to another. I never seem to end up in bleak or depressive places. Maybe it is also a matter of perspective: that of an artist seeing beauty all around. Maybe it is  a mix of two: luck and artistic nature that finds beauty where beauty can be found.  Anyhow, I'm typing away from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, you could say I'm back home. Well, home is a relative term for me as I move around quite a lot but Mostar is definitely one of my homes. I returned from Croatia a few days ago and while I managed to fully unpack on Saturday, I still feel a bit tired. I spent a lot of time on the road, so I think I'll need a week or so to come to my s...

YOGA AND PILATES ART POSTER (A FASHION ILLUSTRATION OF SORTS)

Image
Hello dear readers and fellow bloggers! It feels kind of odd putting together a blog post again. While I haven't completely stopped blogging in the last few months, my posts were less frequent than usual.  I can't wait to get back into saddle, though. I can't promise to be that present in the blogging world just yet as I've started a new job recently and moved countries again (and that's a lot of fun when you're chronically ill and on expensive therapy you might miss out on while trying to sort out medical insurance details). However, I might have weekends off on this new job (if I don't find a second job and I might have to do that....) but more about that some other time, let's return to this blog post. Today I'll share a quick illustration I did for promotional purposes back in August. It was a quick drawing depicting a simple yoga pose. As you can see I used one of my own photographs as a reference (I took the photo with a self timer). I drew thi...

CIRCUS THEMED CREATIVE ARTS & CRAFTS ( DIY ) IDEAS FOR BOTH KIDS & ADULTS

Image
Hello dear ideas! Today I'm back with some circus themed art & crafts ideas that are suitable for both children and adults. They are fairly simple to do and not time consuming at all. You can do these crafts with the young ones or by yourself. If you're looking for some easy circus themed DIY ideas, you've come to the right place.  I have been testing all of these circus themed art & crafts ideas while working in the tourist animation sector this summer, so I figured why not share some of those ideas with you. During the course of this summer, I've held a number of creative mini club Circus themed workshops and they were a lot of fun to do.  These circus themed crafts are great if you're looking for something creative to do. Moreover, these DIY projects can also make for wonderful handmade gift ideas. Why not make a circus themed notebook or a birthday card for someone?  CIRCUS THEMED NOTEBOOKS AND SKETCHBOOKS This is a great activity that is suitable for bo...

THE BOOK OF FATHERS BY MIKLOS VANOS (BOOK REVIEW)

Image
In this post, I'll review a historical novel titled The Book of Fathers by Hungarian author Miklos Vanos.   I'm glad I own a copy of this book, for it is worth a reread.  I have read this book many years ago, but I haven't published a review of it on my blog yet. Considering that I still remember this novel fondly, I think a book review is due.  I remember my first reading experience of this book quite clearly. For some reason I was sure that I was going to like this novel, even before I know what it was about. The cover attracted me as much as the title. When I've read the opening lines I was positive that I'd enjoy this one. I was right. The book dragged me in and took me for quite a ride. In fact, I absolutely loved  The Book of Fathers .  A FASCINATING PREMISE IN A WELL ROUNDED FAMILY EPIC This is a well rounded epic story, spending over centuries, following lives of one Hungarian family. Perhaps the most fascinating premise is the one about the ...

VISIT ISLAND KRK WITH MODAODARADOSTI BLOG!

The time has finally arrived for you to find out where I'm living and working at the moment. I'm no longer in Umag, but I'm still in Istria region. I'm currently located on island Krk, Croatia. What a beautiful island it is! Every day I wake up surrounded by beautiful views.  What can one say about the beauty of Kvarner Gulf? Sometimes the words fail us. My history with Kvarner goes way back.  I actually lived in Rijeka for a  period in my life. That was back when I was younger and worked as a flight attendant. My airline's offices were based there, so I often visited Rijeka  even when I moved back home. This was all a long time ago, but being in Istria again makes me recall it. Funny how life sometimes gives you opportunity to return and revisit a place special to you. What can I say about island Krk? It's an absolutely beautiful island to start with. I hope I'll have the time to explore it in detail soon. So long I have been to busy to do that, but maybe ...
