Podaca is a charming little place on the Croatian coast where I vacationed a few years ago. Like many villages (and cities) in the Mediterranean it was originally built a considerable distance from the sea because of the pirates. Nowadays, the houses are near the sea but the old part is still there. In this post you can see both the old part of the village and the new one. It was such a lovely place to take photos of and I enjoyed being there especially in the old part that is now almost abandoned. Podaca je lijepo malo mjesto gdje sam ljetovala kod prijatelja prije par godina. Kao mnoga mjesta na Mediteranu, prvobitno je sagrađeno dalje od mora, a sada je taj stari dio sela skoro pa napušten. Kuće su skroz uz obalu i sada je to turističko mjesto. Meni se nekako ovaj stari dio najviše svidio, dolje mi je malo gužva, a  navikla sam i na ljepše plaže...ali ovo groblje u starom mjestu sa pogledom na rivieru i otok Hvar...divno mjesto za počiva...

Yesterday...it has been a long day. I had to get up early to catch a ride to Split. During the day a number of odd things happened such as having to walk barefoot from the beach because my shoes fell apart (fortunately my home in Split is near the beach) and accidentally locking myself in the bathroom.  Anyhow, this is what I wore the day before yesterday for a walk with my dog near my home in Mostar. I really like midi skirts, this one is vintage and the smurfs tee ( bought at kids department) I just think is cute...  I hope you like my DIY, it's pretty simple and I think it had made these espadrilles a bit more interesting. Sure, they're not real espadrilles (the real ones are made in a specific way)...yet I like the ones that are inspired by this popular and once only peasant footwear. Jučer bijaše čudan dan. Hodati po užarenom asfaltu jer su mi japanke pukle bilo je zanimljivo, iako i bolno iskustvo...no srećom plaža mi nije daleko od stana...a onda čekati da me spase iz k...

I can't believe it has been four years or even more (I'm not entirely sure when these photos were taken). Time really does fly, doesn't it? I did really enjoy that evening that I had spend there despite the fact that the heel of my shoe fall off (luckily I managed to buy other shoes in the bazaar ). The reason why I'm posting these photographs is because I want to present Makarska to you. It is a beautiful (relatively little) city on Adriatic coast (Croatia), extremely popular with the tourists. Having a lot to offer to any visitor, that never came as a surprise to me.  The city itself has stunning beaches and in vicinity you can find some really amazing ones...Makarska riviera is basically a synonym for beautiful beaches. So if you looking for some quality beach time, this is the place to go. If you're the type that likes peace and quiet you can find that too, just pick some nice little place somewhere on Makarska riviera, because the city itself...

Today I'm sharing two illustrations. The first one is inspired by Morticia Adams. I've  tried to imagine to imagine what she would look like if she opted for something other than black...if that can be imagined. I've always been fascinated with the goth look even way before I aced my Gothic literature exam. On the other hand, the second illustration has nothing to do with vampires, gothic and such things, but shows a more fun side to the shade of red that might be called bloody...Perhaps one day I might try to turn this illustration in an actual outfit. xoxo Danas dva crteža...prvi je nadahnut Morticijom Adams, a zamisao je kako bi izgledala da nije u crnoj..ako se to može zamisliti. Uvijek me zanimao taj gotički izgled, davno prije nego što sam dobila peticu iz gotičke književnosti. Riverside...sometimes Neretva river makes me think of Tolkien, elfs and the Riverside...there is really something magical about certain rivers. To be truthful, this was not supposed to be an outfit post. I just went to walk the dog and ended up with some photos. Right now I'm at place in my life where I feel comfortable not wearing any make up...and sharing photographs of outfits that are not at all dressed up but just the opposite. Besides, the location is pretty nice and I have a grin on my face, so that is something, right?
