Buna, that is, the Bunica river and the surrounding area is one of my favourite recreational sites in Herzegovina. Located only a short drive from Mostar, it is the perfect place to escape the city heat. Mostar is one of the hottest cities in the region, so an escape to a green oasis like this one is more than welcome. I often come here to relax and have a cup of coffee in the company of some really friendly ducks. You might remember this place from my numerous posts about it. Yes,  I've told you about rivers Buna and Bunica lots of times. Both rivers spring from the same source and this whole area around them is perfect for little trips and getaways. This year summer has arrived a bit late, so the area is still as green as it would be in the spring time. Hello everyone. How are you doing? I'm welcoming August with new art projects. You know I like to keep myself occupied, right? Today I'll show you a painting (medium acrylic paints on canvas) inspired by Vrboska  village on island Hvar. I painted this painting using one of my own photographs as a reference. Hello there! July is coming to its end. It seems appropriate that I'm finishing this month with my Fashion Illustration Friday feature. I did try very hard to find time for fashion illustrating this past month. I managed to do make some fashion sketches and illustrations, so I'd say that I'm on a good track. Today I'll share with you one new fashion sketch inspired by a simple summer styling. Bellow you can see the collage with the outfit and sketch. If you ever get the chance to visit Vrboska in summer, I strongly paying beach Soline a visit. Beach Soline is hands down one of the most beautiful beaches on island Hvar. We were lucky to swim there three times this summer (before it got too crowded for my taste). We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. This beach is so beautiful! Plus, you don't have to restrict yourself to the beach itself. This whole area is gorgeous. There is plenty of natural shade (mostly in the form of pine trees) so if you're not a sun lover, you should still be able to enjoy it. There are also two beach bars to choose from (see this post for more information).
