HOW TO STYLE A DENIM SKIRT FOR EARLY SPRING? OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Image
Today I'm back with another outfit proposal. This time I'm going to show you how you can style a denim skirt for early spring. A denim skirt is a great classic, and it can be a lovely alternative to jeans. I already wrote down a few tips for styling dresses and skirts in early spring , you know for this period when it may not that warm. I recommended styling dresses and skirts with blazers paired with tights and boots. As you can see, I'm keeping to my advice. I paired my denim skirt with tights and biker boots. I also wore a pink turtleneck sweater and white vintage blazer. Lighter colours are a good way to invite spring. To finish the outfit, I opted for some straw accessories, that is, an oversize straw hat and a straw bag. I love to wear straw accessories to make my outfits look more spring time appropriate. Plus, I found that straw hats do really help with the whole protection against the sun thing. I love the sun as much as the next outdoorsy person, but I won't...

HOW TO WEAR CONTRASTING PRINTS? OUTFIT PROPOSAL PLUS BOOK REVIEWS

Image
I love contrasting prints. It's just so much fun to wear an all printed outfit. Not matching prints are even more playful and fashion forward. Leopard print looks pretty interesting paired with a Nordic print, I'd say. It's the kind of print combination that one doesn't expect and that is what makes it interesting I'd say. My outfit proposal of the day consists of: a pair of leopard leggings, a printed burgundy turtleneck, a burgundy mini bag and a pair of heels. All of these items I have had for a while. Now, to be completely honest I'm pretty sure I wore something over this when I went out. I did wear this combo (leopard leggings and a printed turtleneck) before, but usually with a striped mini skirt or an olive vest. It's a bit too much on its own, I'd say. I don't typically wear leggings on its own, not unless I'm going hiking somewhere where I know I won't meat a soul. The only outfit with a leggings and top I remember sharing on this b...

HOW TO STYLE DRESSES WITH BLAZERS FOR EARLY SPRING? OUTFIT PROPOSAL

Image
Today we'll talk a bit about styling dresses in early spring. Generally speaking my advice would be to wear your dresses with blazers and lighter jackets/coats. If it's still cold, you could also add tights and boots to your outfit. That's what I've been doing lately. One great thing about spring is that you can style all kinds of dresses in this season, even summer ones. You can always layer to make your outfit more warm and cozy. To dress up your spring dresses, opt for dressier shoes and fancy bags. Similarly, if your want your feminine spring outfits to be more day time appropriate, you can always dress down your dresses with sneakers and (denim/leather/utility) jackets. Alternatively, you can also wear sporty or casual dresses to get that relaxed vibe. Not only is there a dress for every kind of style, there is a way to make almost any dress fit your style. It's all about figuring what works for you. Today's outfit proposal for an early spring styling ...

A SHORT VISIT TO SPLIT CITY/ WHERE TO DINE AND WHAT TO DO?

Image
Today it is time to show you a few photographs from my visit to Split city last February. I had planned to visit Split this March as well, but so far I haven't managed to do it. That doesn't mean that I won't. March isn't over yet, right? Anyhow, today I'll show you what I did in Split last February. I already told you about visiting my family in Jelsa, island Hvar , and now the spotlight is on Split. Do you remember that grey DIY dress I showed to you last autumn? That was the first 'real' dress I made (using a sewing machine). Before this one, I had only made a couple of summer dress and I sewed those by hand. This was the first proper dress I made and I absolutely love it. Bellow you can only see it partly (as I styled it with a faux fur and leather coat and boots), so I'll include a prior photo of it as well.  This is how I styled it recently. These two photographs were taken in front of a buildings that has recently been turn...
