A Sightseeing Outfit Plus Interesting Facts About Split City (part two)

Image
Today's post is a continuation of this one .  If you remember last time we stopped at Peristyle, the main square during Roman times. Today Peristyle serves the purpose of 'Piazza Del Duomo', that is the cathedral's square. That's what we checked out last time. Now, we're going to continue walking through the narrow street (filled with cute shops) that leads to another square "Narodni Trg Pjaza" ( I suppose we could translate it as People's Square/Piazza). Narodni Trg , a city square that was a logical consequence of city's urban development, is a lovely place to visit. There are some really nice restaurant and coffee places there. This main city's square is quite photo/Instagram worthy as well.  I should know, since it's one of my favourite places in Split city. For centuries this place has been the centre of life in Split city, so it is definitely worth a visit. Maneuvering Split's Mediterranean narrow streets can be a challenge a...

Layering a Yellow Summer Dress in Summer? Outfit Proposal of the Day

Image
Happy Monday lovely people! Remember my post about the art of layering a summer dress in summer? Well, if you don't, you can always refresh your memory here . One of my tricks for layering a summer dress is very simple: wrap a shirt around it. There is something so nineties about that, right? I don't mind because I love the nineties. You can also wrap a long sleeve tee around your waist, but there is something about wrapping a shirt that really appeals to me. As we all know, it can get very hot during the summer. That is why it is important to pay attention to the fabrics we wear. Take this outfit, for example. I'm wearing a cotton dress paired with a cotton shirt. By relying on cotton materials, I managed to layer my summer outfit without risking being too warm. The necklace I'm wearing is my own creation. It is made from up-cycled faux leather and rhinestones but since the necklace isn't enormous, it didn't make me uncomfortable. I like statement neckla...

Inspired by....blogs Fashionably Idu & My Glamour Zone ( My Fashion Illustrations of Bloggers)

Image
Time for another Inspired by feature, a regular feature on my blog that is all about my illustrations of fashion bloggers, i.e., fabulous outfits seen through my eyes and captured by my hand! Today I'm sharing with you two new fashion illustrations. One of them was inspired by a neon green outfit recently featured on Fashionably Idu site (do check it out here ) and the second illustration was inspired by an  elegant outfit posted on Glamour zone site (do have a closer look here ). I have already illustrated Idu in the past ( here and here ), but this is the first time I illustrated an outfit featured on Glamour zone blog. As I always say,  one of the best part about blogging is finding so many inspiring ladies. I was actually quite nervous about making art again. It's been almost a month since my last drawing and I was worried I had lost my touch. Contrary to popular belief, art skills are not something you're born with, they are something you need to develop. In ad...

How To Style Jeans in Summer? Yellow Accents For a Visit To Bunica river

Image
This morning was marked my attempt to get back in shape. After not exercising for nearly a month  because I had an operation last July, I decided to get back on track.  I've exercised this morning and I'm now a bit sore, but I do plan to exercise more in the afternoon. It is never easy to start working out after an operation, but what must be done, must be done. I'm fully recovered now, so I don't have any excuses. I suppose it is time to make time for fitness again! Today I'll mostly talk clothes, though. That and share with you some wonderful Herzegovina's nature. That doesn't sound so bad, right? I'll leave fitness talk for some other day. How To Style Jeans in Summer?  Jeans are not my first option for Summer, I have to admit to that. As you might have noticed I prefer to rely on dresses and skirts during the warmer months of the year. Still, denim has its advantages. It is very versatile and it is easy to dress it up and down. One of the gr...

How To Style a Ruffle Skirt? Awesome's Girls Club

Image
Ruffles are here to stay! Is it just me or have printed ruffle skirts really been trending this summer? I keep seeing printed ruffled skirts around, especially in midi length. I really like this trend so I prepared my own styling suggestion. My outfit proposal of the day is all about styling a ruffle skirt so it's suitable for every day wear, but it still looks a bit dressed up (which is basically something I'm always trying to achieve because I like to feel a bit dressed up). Anyhow, I paired this ruffle skirt with a printed t- shirt I got from my aunt. I do like the print: 'Awesome's girls club'. It's sounds like a club I would like to join! Perhaps I should start one? What do you say? My aunt (who doesn't speak English btw), had actually asked the sale's girl to translate the writing before she bought this tee. Isn't that sweet? You know, I'd say that printed tees are a great way to make any outfit more casual and daytime appropriate.  Still,...
