I'm getting used to painting on book pages. It is a fun thing to do and it allows me to combine two things I love: reading and painting. The book I used for illustrating this time is Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. Today I will just do this one quick book review.  As I said, I'm keeping longer reviews for my other blog. It's been a while since I read Nefertiti by Michelle Moran, so recently I decided to reread it. I ended up giving up  because I concluded that the book isn't worth a reread. Hello, dear readers! I'm back with a book review and recommendation. Finally the weekend is here!  What are your plans for tonight? My plan is to stay in and catch up with blogs. Today's post is going to be short and sweet. Just one outfit and book recommendation. First, something about the outfit.  This kind of styling is appropriate for colder days. How to dress when it is cold? If I managed to learn something during these cold days it would be- layers, layers, layers. Cap are also a good idea. If the weather suddenly improves, you can always put your cap in the bag. The same applies to scarves and gloves. Winter accessories are not only stylish, they are also practical- they were made to keep us warm. Keep warm and take care! Book recommendation of the day? The Sandcastle by Iris Murdoch. What do you do when you feel like drawing but you run out of paper?....draw on what you have at hand. Illustrating on book pages is certainly not a new concept, but I think this illustration was my first conscious work of this sort. I did draw on books before, but it was more doodles than anything else. Moreover, I usually did it absentmindedly. This time I just thought to myself- why not? So, I made this fashion illustration with markers. This lovely lady is wearing a strapless heart shaped pink gown. I wouldn't mind having something like this in my closet. Actually I just remember that I bought a similar dress once. Unfortunately, the quality was so bad that I never wore it out of the house. As soon as I brought it home, I saw that purchasing it was a mistake. The sticking was terrible and the dress was practically transparent. That is the last time I'm trying something on in a shop that doesn't have proper lighting and mirrors. A lesson was learned there. Never shop in ...

It was quite cold when these photographs were taken, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit to these waterfalls. This outfit is very similar to the last one I posted, the only thing different is this faux fur coat. This coat is usually enough to keep me warm, but since it was really freezing that day, it didn't really do the job. Not its fault, though. I should have layered this look better. Next time I will wear an additional layer of clothing, perhaps a jacket of some kind. Now, I'll just touch briefly on this stunning location. I usually try to keep my posts shorter on the weekend.
