  7.30 am. I'm awake. I awoke a bit later than usual this morning.  I wash my face and turn on my laptop. My husband reminds me that yesterday I had said something about how I will go hiking every morning from now on. He is right, I did say that. Maxi skirt in the Summer? How predictable! Well, sometimes basic items can feel pretty darn good. A Printed t-shirt and a maxi skirt paired with sandals, it doesn't get more basic than that. Simple outfit that almost feels like a casual uniform.  I wore this outfit when I went to hear a Cambridge choir perform in our local church in Mostar. They sang beautifully. Now, I'm in Split, suffering from insomnia and feling mighty tired. Ice cream. What says Summer better? When it comes to ice cream of my choice, I've been a faithful customer of Ledo  for years. Their ice creams are nothing short of divine and I have never had better ice creams anywhere! If you decide to vacation in Croatia, don't forget to try them out, they have many different options, even ice cream cakes and deserts. I won't advise you to buy their other frozen products for example frozen fish, because you will do better if you just go to the local fish market. Some of Ledo's frozen fish products are imported from the northern seas and hence doesn't taste authenically local (and the price is the same as for local better quality fish). Anyway, I think it is always better to buy a fresh product if we can. I won't talk much about the outfit, it is very simple. This outfit is all about DIY. I made both this faux leatther necklace and this belt with fringes myself. They were both made from an old faux leather coat. I also decorated the bag with decoupage flowers. Moreover, there is one more fun DIY project. You will see that I'm wearing two pair of shoes in this post (sneakers and heels...and isn't it interesting how the choice of footwear completely transforms an outfit?)... Now, about the heels. They were my wedding shoes, so this pair of sandals is very special to me. I decided to breathe new life into them by sewing pom poms on them. That goes to show how much I love pom poms. All the DIY tutorials I saw includes glueing, but I oppose glueing on prinicple ( ok, that's not really true, I may  just happen  to be too lazy to go out and buy glue) so I decided to sew pom poms onto my sandals.
