this one is still work in progress/ ova još nije gotova The great thing about making your own Christmas cards (or any cards for that matter) is that you don't need to buy any supplies or materials (no need to run down to a hobby shop) , take any classes or participate in any workshops to be able to do it. You may use whatever you like, cut an image from some magazine, a piece of fabric or paper napkin and just glue it to a paper or cardboard. You might use old Christmas decorations, make up or nail-polish, anything really. I think that the most important thing is to make them personal and I believe that the person you give it to or send it to will appreciate the special effort you took to make them.  To me it made sense to use  my own illustrations as well as to make some new ones (but you may use whatever you like). In addition, I used other things I found in my home, such as cardboard (from used packaging) , make up supplies (cotto...

Here is an illustration that I have completely forgotten about ( I drew it when Autumn was just starting). Since it is still officially Autumn I might as well post it. POST UPDATE 2024: I added a few more of my more recent portraits to the mix. It gives you a chance to see the evolution of my style. FRIDAY FASHION ILLUSTRATION: TWO PORTRAITS  Today I'll share two portrait sketches in my 'fashion illustration' style. The medium for both of them is watercolour pencils on paper. As you might know, I often turn to this medium when I want something done quickly. It's not a medium I've mastered, but I do enjoy it.  When it happens that I don't have the time for art, I make sketches. Sometimes  a quick sketch can lead you places. Sometimes it is a dead end. You never know until you try, don't you? Anyhow, quick sketches might be all that I'll be doing in foreseeable future.  In my last post (on Friday), I wrote about protecting  one's art against AI.   Not that I'm an expert on the topic, but it is an issue that deserves attention. Playing with textures can be just as fun in kitchen as it is in fashion. I always like it when a dish is visually appealing so that is probably how I came up with this idea. I call it zucchini noodles because it kind of reminds me noodles and I eat it the same as I would eat noodles or spaghetti. Plus, chopping vegetables saves up cooking time and I get quite nervous if I'm hungry.To prepare this dish, you will need one potato, one zucchini, one egg and a bit of non fat cheese and tomato sauce (and about 20 minutes of your time).  Peel both the potato and the zucchini with a potato peeler, season it, add just a bit of tomato juice (one big spoon not more because the zucchini should dominate the overall taste) and place in an over set on 200 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes, then take it out, add the egg and leave it in the over for additional five minutes give or so (you all know how ovens can be different).       My outfit yesterday was all team comfort. Red hoodie, jeans and long puffer to keep me warm. The sneakers were the only choice because they're the only shoes that can be worn with an ankle bandage. Nevertheless, I really liked this outfit. Styling causal and sporty outfits is something I quite enjoy doing.  Although my little trip lasted only a few hours, it really made me feel better. The mountain air did me good.  Moj jučerašnji izbor odjeće sveo se na udobnost, topla debela jakna i kapuljača i tenisice koje su bile jedini izbor zato što samo sa njima mogu nositi zavoj za gležanj. Ipak svidjela mi se ova odjevna kombinacija, u zadnje vrijeme baš su mi zanimljive ležerne i sportske kombinacije. Iako je moj mali izlet trajao samo nekoliko sati, osjećala sam se puno bolje. Godio mi je planinski zrak.
