Green eyes, pink lips / Zelene oči, roze usne

POST UPDATE: ANOTHER PAINTING

I know I have shared this painting before, but in the meantime I decided that it is not really finished, hence I  added a few finishing touching. Here is my final version. Maybe. Who knows? Perhaps I will decided that I need to fix it up again. I quite like this face. It looks friendly. Interesting how some paintings seem to have a life of their own. Speaking of which.... How has life treating you lately? I still haven't gave up on multitasking while I'm drying my hair (because my hair is so thick I need to kill time). Remember how I told you how  I accidentally dropped a book in the sink while I was drying my hair (here)? Fortunately, the book had solid covers, so it wasn't damaged.  Tonight I did it again, just without dropping the book. I managed to read three pages of The Sandcastle by Iris Murdoch while I was drying my hair. Good for me:). The novel is fabulous btw. I'm sure I would love it! She's a brilliant writer. Have you read anything by her?

  2. It's a very pretty portrait. I like how you added different things Ivana, such as the bow & leaves. There's so much you can do with it. I try to multi-task as much as I can.

  11. Loved the finished painting, dear Ivana, the eyes and the lipstick... the kind of lipstick color that I like :) And I have dark green eyes, though very seldom the pictures show, cause I normally photograph in a shadowy light! So, I loved the painting! You are amazing, drying your hair while reading a book - good it was not dropped this time :) No, I never read anything by Iris Murdoch, I think. I have to check - I was demanded to read so many books at some unis, that sometimes I really forget :) Hope you have a very nice weekend, maybe drying your hair and reading books, why not - that is really brilliant!

  12. That's really a nice and friendly face - and a funny story of your "accident" while drying your hair. I don't use a hairdryer, my hair is drying in the air (I think, this needs about 2 hours but I can do just everything wile this time ;-))
    Lots of hugs, Traude

  13. I really like the eyes on this portrait! They're not only lovely but there's something some lively and expressive about them. You did a great job of bringing her to life. You are the artist so you decide when the piece is finished. I love that you read while drying your hair. Maybe I should do that so I could read more. I'd probably end up burning myself though LOL ;p

  14. Hi Ivana! Such a long time without stopping by, I just moved from apartment and I still have to go and set the internet, that's why sometimes I am so absent! But it is always a pleasure to soak into your amazing art and make me realize that inspiration can always come from a different source! Thanks for keeping me inspired! Love the eyes and the feeling you can spot at them!

    Have a lovely weekend!

As an art/design student, I know what you mean when you say it's hard to know if a drawing/painting is done. Will it ever be done? We always want to add something or change something :)

  24. Multitasking seems to be my way of life. I'd probably be bored otherwise. I love this painting. She's very pretty and her jute bow is so cute. Lovely details Ivana. Glad your book didn't get ruined. And no I haven't read this author, no surprise there right? This year has been great so far. I can't complain. Hope it's been great for you too. Have a great rest of the weekend.

  29. Dear Ivana, I see this wonderful drawing is now even more perfect! Yes, she looks friendly and I believe really that drawings have a own life ... Obviously you are able to do multitasking. I have to admit I try to avoid it as I know by my own experience that in my case it definitely not always works. And a book in the sink is not the worst :)
